Getting disability is extremely difficult!. They make it that way on purpose, otherwise tons of people would be on it!.
You have to prove that you are unable to work!. If you can type your question you can probably work (in their eyes anyway)
In the long run, you are better off being a productive human being!. Sitting home collecting just enought o eat rice and beans, stay somewhat warm and watch t!.v!. is no life!.
go to counceling get some help from medication if you need it and meet others via support group with the same issue to overcome this problem!.
It will be okay!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't give up!. Seek help from a mental health professional, not your doctor who obviously needs to get a grip! That the stats are high just goes to show how serious a problem it is - not that it's normal!
Maybe try looking for another family doctor once you get this issue on it's way to being resolved!. As for asking for help from the Obama campaign - you could write your local congressman about the issue in general, better access to mental health care for victims, stiffer penalities for the pedophiles, but they aren't going to help your individual case!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Asking a politician or the news media about your private life is one sure way NEVER to get an answer you can use!. Heck--asking a politician ANYTHING is ridiculous!. And the news media doesn't care!.

However, you do have a problem!. And the place for that problem is a psychologist, or mental health facility where they handle the Post-Traumatic stress you are feeling from being molested!. YES--it causes issues!. All the time!. And NO--it ISN'T "normal!."

You need to see a professional who can get to the root of your issues and help you get through them!. Go find one!. And stay out of the news media and politics if you want help!. That's not where you need to go!.

Hey!.
I understand where you're coming from!. I was molested by my older sister when I was younger!. And it's changed a lot of things about myself!. I feel awkward getting naked in front of my boyfriend and stuff, and it just really put a damp in my life!.

That was totally wrong of your doctor to say what he did!. The fact that he would tell you so what makes me sick! You need to focus on finding someone you can talk about this with, because that's all you should be worried about right now!. It's NOT normal and you shouldn't have those moments where you don't feel right in your head!. Don't give up on yourself, but as for right now I really think you should seek a new doctor, because not all doctors will be like the one you first went to!.

Sexual abuse/assault is not normal!. Unfortunately it is not uncommon either!. We all deal with trauma in different ways!. One of the most effective ways is to talk about it-friends, on-line, therapist!. Just talk until it doesn't hurt to talk about it anymore and you can move on!. Sometimes it helps to take action against the abuser to enable yourself to find closure!. This could be by confronting them, charging them, outing them!. This is not always possible so I have known people to write to the offender, tell them all the things they wish they could say or do if the offender was still around!. Then burn or bury the letter!.
Remember it was not your fault, but do not let this ruin the rest of your life!. It is yours to make the most of!. Good luck, my thoughts are with you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not "normal" in the sense that it shouldn't happen to anyone, but sadly, it's all too "normal" in that it happens too frequently!. Although the doctor was, shall we say, lacking in bedside manner - oh let's say it, he was being downright insensitive, he does have a point!. You have the choice in how you let your experience affect you!.

You can make the choice to keep carrying around the trauma for the rest of your life like a millstone around your neck, or to discard it like so much unneeded garbage!. It's not going to be easy!. You need to talk to a counselor or therapist who deals with these issues!. It might be good for you to find a support group of people, so you can see how others are dealing with their experiences, and find support from people who understand!.

You may have to confront your molester, but I'd say do not until you have gone through some therapy!. Stay strong, and best of luck to you!.

And stop pestering CNN or Barack Obama about this!. You must own your issues, and you must find your own solution to them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
