Is it normal to feel this alone?!

Question: Is it normal to feel this alone!?
I always feel so alone, and misunderstood!. I always find myself distancing myself from my friends and family!. I don't know why I do it, and when i leave them i feel even more alone!. I don't really talk to anybody about it because they think I want attention but all i really want is help!. I honestly do feel like there is nobody out there and i'd rather be shut up in my room all day long!. Is it normal to feel this alone!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

those sound like signs of depression!. Are you sad a lot too!? i feel the same way sometimes but maybe not as strongly as you!. i spend a healthy amount of time with coworkers and classmates at my school, but once that is all over i don;t want to go out to parties and socialize, i just want my down time!. i want to be alone and distance myself from the world!. i dont invite people to my dorm!. but at the same time i love to laugh and spend (a reserved ) amount of time with friends!. So my question is, do you spend any time out of the day with friends and family!?!? or is your day spent in compete isolation!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you have depression issues!? It is common w/ people with depression to isolate themselves!. It can take too much energy even to talk to people or they can be very irritating!. It is unfortunate that the people you know are so insensitive as to think you do it for attention!.
It is good to want to be alone at times, but shutting yourself up in a room all day long is not healthy; it can make your condition even worse!. People need sunshine, exercise and human contact to be healthy mentally!.
Maybe you could just go out for a walk, or join a book club or something that would get you out of the house and your own head!.
Maybe at some time in your past someone hurt you so badly that you feel that you need to push people away to feel safe!. This is just a guess!. Sometimes doing the opposite to how you feel, and doing it all the time is a way to overcome fear or anxiety or depression!.
You are definitely not alone!. There are far too many people out there who have the same problem!. Perhaps there is a group near you that can help you with this problem!.
Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i've been through that many many times, it sounds like depression almost!. i used to stay in my room all the time or never leave the house because for some reason i was afraid to face people!. see if you can get a psychiatrist or someone you trust to talk to and listen to!. i find it normal, many people get this!. anything happen lately that you feel sad about!? that could be a good reason!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Actually no!. I wouldn't consider it normal!. It would be different if you distanced yourself intentionally and felt okay with it!. But the fact that you choose to distance yourself and still feel alone makes it a bit of a problem!. Maybe it's some kind of social anxiety disorder!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
