Question: Why Do Cutter's Cut!? How can you help someone stop!?
I mean is there a specific reason!. Or does it depend on the person!? To me it seems like an addiction, is it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There could be a number of reasons!. I myself, was a self mutilator when I was 13!. (I am now 18 and clean!.) for me it was because I was so frustrated with myself and it vented some of that anger!. I had depression and anxiety and it seemed to give me some relief!.
Other reasons could be for attention (some kids want people to feel bad for them, but this should NOT be the reason you think of!.!.!. there could be something very wrong, even if it seems like your friend wants pity)!. It could have been a traumatic event, like rape, family troubles, etc!.
It is definatly an addiction!. Cutting gives you an adrenaline rush!. The moment a cutter has the thought in their head it is so hard to get it out unless you actually cut!.
What I did to help myself was I began to write!. Poems, songs, blah de dah!. I also started getting pieces of wood or soap and cutting up that!.!. carving into it to make a design!. It kinda felt good cuz it's the same likeness of cutting, just not on your body!.
This person will need a lot of help and support!. Show them how much it hurts you!. No yelling, no walking away!. They need someone to support them through the tough!.

one persons reason to cut them self is different from any other persons reason!. the best thing to do is got seek help from a medical professional however hard it seems at the time it is for the best Www@Answer-Health@Com
