I think I might be Schizophrenic, but I don't want to go to the doctors. Adv!

Question: I think I might be Schizophrenic, but I don't want to go to the doctors!. Advice!?
I've been told my two different therapists/psychologists, one in person and one online, that I have Depression with Psychosis!. But I believe this to be wrong!.

These are the symptoms I experience (sorry if it's a lot to read): http://counsellingresource!.com/ask-the-p!.!.!.

I'm a very isolated person and lately I've been trying to keep to myself (and husband), but as for friends I don't really want to hang out with them!. I tried to go for a walk by myself one night and had the constant feeling I was being followed and I was starting to get really nervous!. I have no motivation to leave my home, even to do the laundry, but if I'm with my husband I'm ok!. I never used to be this bad so I know it's not just a "getting used to grown up life" type of thing!. I used to go out with people and have fun!.

Do you think the Depression and Psychosis were the correct diagnoses!?

(Btw, I am not on meds but I'm able to keep control of things unless I leave my home)

And can anyone tell me why I am always talking to people who are not there for hours on end!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You would really benefit from keeping a journal for a week or two, then going to see a psychiatrist!. Be sure to write down all behavior that is of concern to you - keep track of times and duration of the behaviors also!. Most mental illness symptoms overlap and make diagnosis difficult!. I would like to suggest finding a doctor who is more concerned with treating the symptoms than one who is looking for a specific diagnosis!. For example - a medication such as Abilify will help control psychotic symptoms regardless of whether those symptoms are caused by depression, schizophrenia, bipolar, etc!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go see a doctor!. Just write down what you're feeling!. In fact, you can just print what you wrote and bring it to him/her!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

See your doctor, this is not normal!. Talking to people that are not there for hours!? Who are you talking too!? They obviously don't exist! Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think the advice you got from that site was good!. Don't be too quick to disparage medicines!. People who do that often have very little education and very high opinions of their own wisdom, and they can be very preachy about their ideas!. If you talk to a qualified psychiatric doctor, he will have come across hundreds of patients with your symptoms in different combinations and different degrees, and will be consulting with other doctors and psychiatric nurses who have come across hundreds more!. You will get a better view of your situation by doing that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
