good question!. Bipolar is in fact a type of depression!. Depression comes in several catogories such as: clinical depression (severe depression with behavior considered to be abnormal due to environmental causes or unfortunate life circumstances that cause intense depression), and seasonal affection disorder aka "sad" (s!.a!.d caused by the changes in seasons)!. Bipolar on the other hand is a severe depression which results in an intense range of mood swings!. Like other types of depression, bipolar can be treated with special medication that helps to balance chemicals and hormones in the body!. I hope this helped you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bipolar is a chemical imbalance in your brain; so it is a physical thing!. Bipolar is treated with medication, but is a lifelong problem!. Depression can be cured with therapy and helped with meds!. Depression can be acute (temporary, or short lived), chronic (lasting constantly and for a long time), and is a mental thing!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

bipolar is when you are really happy 1 minute and really sad the next, depression can be considered the "sad" part of bipolar-ism!. don't let anyone tell you that you are bipolar or depressed, if you believe there is something wrong with you then you will become that way!. if you stay at home all day hiding in a dark room for days, then yes there may be something wrong w/you but otherwise these types of labels are really hard to "prove" and really easy to "diagnose"-blureyWww@Answer-Health@Com
