Depression coming back- HELP!?!

Question: Depression coming back- HELP!!?
Last year, my parents noticed cut marks on my back and sent me to therapy!. I cut because i had depression!. Little by little I noticed myself feeling better and being happier about myself as a person, both on the inside and outside!. Things seemed to really be looking up for me!.
Then in May my grandpa died!. Since me and my younger brother were his only grandchildren, we were really close!. He died in the middle of my end of year exams so I wasn't really able to deal with it !.!.!. I just kind of pushed it aside and focused on school!.
Now I feel how I did before !.!.!. I've started smoking more (used to only be a social smoker) and I have the urges to cut!. I think I'm getting depressed again but I'm so scared to be like that!. What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Please go see your therapist again!. You parents were wise to act quickly the first time, I'm guessing you feel ashamed and you don't want them to think you failed, you did not, and they love you!.

If a person had a heart condition and was fine for many years and suddenly developed chest pain, would he think he failed, of course not!. You have a disorder, called depression that often comes back, very hard to admit but it is the usual course of things!. You need to be in treatment a very long time, just like the heart patient!. Everyone has a burden in life, yours might be depression!.

I'm bipolar, I would rather have bipolar than cancer, kidney disease, a stroke, etc!. I've been hospitalized for suicidal feelings and only a couple of years ago had ECT, (shock treatments) Sadly you found your burden earlier than most, me too, I do understand!. Please get back to therapy, your parents love you, others are not as lucky!.

Much luck to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everyone gets bumbed out, especially when things like that happen!. Ans some people more often then others!. I too am one of those people!. If you are to afraid to tell your parents then try things out for yourself!. There are alot of depression suggestions out there!. Somethings sound odd but you could try some!. Anything is better than nothing!. Perhaps you could think back to when you were in therapy and remember some of the things you had to do then!. It's worth a try!.!.!.!.good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Speak with your school's guidance counselor about your grief!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

smoking can cause depression, try and quit if u canWww@Answer-Health@Com

You need grief counseling, either speak with your parents or your school about it!. And in the meantime, get out in the sun every day at least 15 minutes a day, and same with exercise, just walking is fine!. Stay away from caffeine and too much sugar, try to take care of yourself and get a good night's sleep and eat as healthy as possible!. A good high dosage B-complex vitamin will help as well!. Finally, if you can volunteer to do something for others one day a week, even for only a few hours, it will help take you out of yourself and make you feel better - a good venue is your local shelter, the animals need love, playtime and walks!. Hang in there, it will get better!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
