Should I switch therapist?!

Question: Should I switch therapist!?
I recently started seeing a therapist (a few months ago) every 2 weeks!. It's been a great help, we really connected and although I was a bit apprehensive the first day, it turned out well and I really love working with her!.

She will be starting course work in the next few weeks so we can do our Wednesdays appointments anymore!. I work weekdays, so she offered to to Sundays, but since my bf lives out of town, this wasn't the greatest option for me because I tend to be out of town on most weekends, or my bf is here and we enjoy our alone time together!.

She referred me to her clinical director who was looking into finding someone else for me, and she offered to take me on as a client on Mondays, which is great for my schedule!. I'm a bit sad about ending things with my therapist though and apprehensive about the switch!. It clicked so well with my current therapist that I'm a bit scared that it may not work as well with a new one!.

Should I make the move and start with someone else!? It's better for my schedule and who knows, she may turn out to be fantastic, but I'm very nervous, and since there's a 4 week gap in between I also want some advice on how to cope in between!.

Thanks in advance!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since you have found one that fits into your specif time management and the fact that someone you trust recommended her why would you even hesitate!? If you don't click with the new therapist you can always look for another!. As it stands your only problem will be the interim before you start seeing the new therapist!. It would be much more stressful picking names out of a phone book especially with your limited times to be available!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i would say try it, i meet three different therapist and all are differnt but still very good, i had one for a year[twice a week] and i couldn't imagine switching now!.!.but give it a shot, doesn't work you can always call her back and make appointment and she would have already see you so she could make time for you, good luck!.!.but don't be to stuck in the ways your first therapist did itWww@Answer-Health@Com

Perhaps your boyfriend can travel to you instead of you traveling to him!. Basically, you need to decide what is more important, time alone with your boyfriend or your mental health!. You have found a good therapist and that is not always easy to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its hard to find a good therapist!. this one really tried to make it work for you!.!. Id by pass the guy for awhile and stick with the good therapist!.!. guys will always be there!.!. help yourself first!.!.
Put YOU FIRST and GUY SECOND!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
