Answers:
Hey, I take Lithium and I am always thirsty!. But I drink water!. I have a water bottle with me all the time!.

Stay away from caffeine because it makes you want to goto the bathroom more frequently!.

You need to drink TONS on Lithium, so that you do not get Lithium toxicity!. If the Lithium builds up in your system, you could wind up with high levels and have to goto the hospital!. It is serious!.

So drink!. Water!. Water!. Water!.

Or you could get one of those waterpacks that people where on there back with a giant plastic straw that comes around to the mouth!. Bikers use them!. Fill it with ice water and sip away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

"Also avoid drinking large amounts of coffee, tea, or cola, which can cause dehydration through increased urination!. Do not make a major change in your eating habits or go on a weight loss diet without consulting your doctor!. The loss of water and salt from your body could lead to lithium poisoning!."

"Drinking extra fluids (8 to 12 glasses of water or other liquid) while you are taking this medicine is recommended!." I'm sure your doctor already told you this!.

Carry a cooler of bottled water or sports drinks if you don't like water!.

One possible solution (I don't know if this will work if you aren't OTR): http://www!.biorelief!.com/Trucker-Urinal!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I was on lithium I had a very fine hand tremor and was always thirsty!. The only thing I know of that can cure these side effects is to stop taking the med and find a different one!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How about if you take a cooler with chipped ice!. The ice will help you from being so dry mouthed, but it would not make you go to the bathroom as much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

whenever i see my wife listening to the sermon she is always chewing gum!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
