PTSD and combat related experience?!

Question: PTSD and combat related experience!?
I have a long history of PTSD and therapy for it that trails back a couple years to the 16 months I served in Afghanistan!. But when I got my narrative summary for a medical discharge for a bunch of physical and mental issues, the army doctor changed the wording to combat related anxiety with disassociation disorder, homicidal tendencies, somotoform( a close spelling of the word), and rage issues, audio and visual hallucinations, and flash backs!. So what the difference!? Could it be that they are 2 different things or is the army just covering their *** on numbers of soldiers leaving the army with PTSD!? I know I would be entitled to an additional 30% disability if they just said it!. But I don't know what to doWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I work for VA, simply file a claim for a psychiatric condition!. Doesn't really matter what the ultimate diagnosis is as long as the condition began in service and is chronic!. Also, don't assume your entitled to 30 percent, that depends on your symptoms!. Compensation for anxiety with disassociation etc and PTSD are all based on the same criteria so the diagnosis is insignificant if the condition began in service!.
The VA general question phone line is 1-800-827-1000, please call if you have questions about your potential benefits!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

DId you have this when you signed up for the army!? i have schizophrenia and wanted join too, but was honest and loyal and told them, instead of lying to get in which so many people aer doing these days!. he changed it to this because you probably were in combat sin ceyour in afghan, all that seems alot worse than ptsd, so you would probably get more disability and a fast discharge being labeled as such!. just be careful they dont find any of your past on a medical record if you signed up knowing something was wrong, you could go to prisonWww@Answer-Health@Com

Contact a veteran service officer through a veterans group such as VFW or DAV!. Some of these agencies have offices in your local VA regional office!.

These folks act as VA watchdogs!. They are state, not federal employees!. They will assist you and represent you in a claim (including filing a claim) for disability and/or record correction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They gave me a PTSD diagnosis in one sitting!. Did you go to the PTSD screening!? They are the only people at the VA that can give you that dianosis!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
