Am I obsessive/paranoid about this?!

Question: Am I obsessive/paranoid about this!?
Ok, so June 6th I drank some gin for the first time, got out of breath, wokeup the next day with a cough sensation in my trachea!. Had every test done, EKG, Chest X-Ray, liver/gallbladder ultrasound, pulmonogy/lung function tests, endoscopy, barium swallow, all of it was negative!.

I was put on a trial of pills, from antibiotics, to ativan, to every h2 blocker, PPI/antacid out there including Protonix, Zegerid, etc!. None of it did anything!.

I frantically searched things online all summer, and now I have a lot of burping, bloating, fatigue, heart palpitations, and a sore/irritated throat with the cough!.

I went to an ENT today, gave him my history, and he did a visualization of my trachea!. He went down with a laryngoscope all the way to the windpipe and even put it on a screen so I could see!. There was no irritation, no signs of any reflux!.

I get the pain/burning/cough constantly, all day, no flare ups, no food-related issues!. He said if it was that frequent, "LPR/GERD/Reflux" would show up on the laryngoscope or the endoscopy, or at least be responsive to the pills!.

He's evaluating me for thyroid problems because he says that exact spot of pain is where the thyroid is!.

I felt so much relief after hearing the laryngoscope found nothing, but when I went home I started searching up stuff again (stupid me) and started finding obscure medical polls and random people saying "You can have LPR with no laryngoscopy signs!" etc!. I started feeling sicker as I read it, and now I'm freaking out again!. I feel like I need to go BACK to the ENT just so he can look at it again and re-assure me!.

Is this psychological!? How do I get this out of my head!? I am very analytical and it is hard for me to get things out of my head once they get in!. I was feeling great once I got the results from the laryngoscoping, even my burping decreased, but now that I read just 2 or three obscure websites that say "you can still have it without a laryngoscope sign" (which makes no sense) I am freaking out and feeling worse!.

Can someone help me with some advice!? There may be something wrong, like a thyroid problem, but I'm not sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To be honest, it sounds like you are turning yourself into a hypochondriac!. I think that when a person tells themselves they are sick, or have this problem, they can actually develope signs or symptoms of it without actually having anything wrong with them!. So chill out, doc's say your fine, then your fine!. Are you going to waste all of your time feeling like there is something wrong when there isn't!? Enjoy life a little!. Go out and do something fun!. Maybe have another drink and convince yourself that it will cure your problem!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It seems to me that you have had so many professionals telling you that there is nothing wrong with you that you have exhausted all those options, that now youre asking random people on an internet website if there is something wrong with you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Seems like that gin hit you like a ton of bricks! it can be very psychological, as i know im not supposed to be drinking as im underage and am labeled an alcoholic by my doctors, attending aa meetings and such, but sometimes i sneak a drink or two in, and no matter what i do, i still smell the scent in the air, my breath, the feeling of it, even days later, cuz im so paranoid about it!. you too can be paranoid about having something wrong with you wich is causing you to keep looking up information about it and getting tested and even the feeling in your throat!. im not saying nothing is wrong, i urge you to follow up with your doctor, but dont get too worried about itWww@Answer-Health@Com
