Should i go to the doctor for depression and anxiety HELP?!

Question: Should i go to the doctor for depression and anxiety HELP!?
I'm 30 and have struggled my whole life!. I was on medication but didn't stick with it!. There is a free mental health facility but i can't drive there-I used to go there, but then i got low on gas and i have no one to take me (now i have no license)!. I'm not working and hardly ever leave the house!. I have no quality of life!. the only thing i look foward to is practicing music, but what good is it if i can't get out there and jam, and also make money to buy worthy equipment in the first place!.
I don't have heath insurance and owe the hospital a few hundred dollar from a couple years ago!.
Let me add that just walking to the store or someone knocking on the door of my mom's house freaks me out!. I'm an alcoholic and used to drink like crazy!.!.!.i don't now, but then i again i never leave the house!. I don't want to have to drink to function!.

Do you think i should walk to the local hospital and tell them i need help for depression and anxiety!?
I don't have family doctor!.

Thanks for your time

Answers:
Yes, you need help with both your depression/anxiety and your drinking!. Both are serious, and the fact that you can't work and don't leave the house means it's out of control!.

The local hospital probably has a program for indigent patients who can't pay!. You should call them, and ask for the financial department and see if they do!. Alternatively, the free mental health clinic probably has ideas about how you can get assistance (they obviously deal with poor people with mental health problems) - or maybe how to get transportation there!. You can try giving them a call too!.

Last, look for an AA near to you!. There may be one within walking distance!. You say your drinking isn't the main problem, but it might be affecting your ability to function a LOT more than you think!. Also, it probably will be good for you to get out of the house to go to meetings and to be with people!. You don't have to say anything - you can sit in the back and listen, if you're too shy or uncomfortable at first!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all, please realize you are special and a masterpiece and worthy of love!.

Many people suffer from ailments that you mentioned!. It's not as easy as popping pills and therapy!. It takes motivation , committment, hard work, and an inner desire to want a better life!.

You dont want to end up suicidal!. That would really hurt your mom and those close to you i nways you will never imagine!.

Look around and count your blessings!. You're living with your mom!. You have many blessings that people in Africa would love to have!.

Being unemployed and depressed with anxiety is as common as a Big Mac and french fries!.

The hardest step is to make that 1st step to get assistance!.

Getting an education, a good paying job, staying healthy and excerxising, and falling in love are great ways to deal with depression!.

Many communities offer 12-step programs and support groups; however, behavior therapy with meds is likely the best route to go!.

So count your blessings!.!.your mom is alive, you have all your legs/arms, you have your sight and hearing, and youre young!.

Life can get better!.

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc!.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc!.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level!.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication!. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac!. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc!.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced!.!.!. you have that "learned behavior" in your mind!. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this!. A technique that you canb use without CBT will be Distraction!.!.!. There are several other techniques to help cope them! Learn more at the source =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you should definitely go to the local hospital to receive some help!. They can possibly suggest a more affordable method for you to handle your problems and possibly help to get someone to you from the clinic or something along the lines of that!. Depression and Anxiety can lead to disorders that will only cause more problems later in life!. It is definitely something that needs to be cut off quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
