Ativan containing lorazepam causes least drowsiness as compaired to other medicines for the same purpose!. To control anxiety, nervousness or palpitation at such meetings, half mg!.or at the most one mg!.will be more than sufficient if taken half to one hour before the meeting!.But don't make it a habit because in the long run it is a habit forming drug!.Still better way is to hold a coin in your palm, close your fist around it and hide it from others view!.Clench your fist whenever you have to speak or feel nervous!.Alternatively you can hold a pen or any thing in your hand and tighten the grip whenever required!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You certainly don't need anything at strong as Ativan for mild anxiety, if you need anything at all!.

A short course of therapy would probably be more than enough to sort you out!. You may not even need that - a lot of people get nervous in class!. Keeping at it and participating will gradually lessen your anxiety, most likely!.

RX drugs are not something to be taken lightly!. I'm not saying they're poison, but it's not like popping a Tylenol for a headache!. Ativan is highly addictive and can have serious side effects!. You shouldn't just jump into things like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well thats a relief, going on any type benzodiazepine for more than 2 days can cause addiction and their will no longer be a positive Effect!. Your anxiety doesnt seem that major as you are not describing any physical symptoms, hot flashes, sweating, head feelings, lump in the throat, and sweating!. SInce the peek of this anxiety occurs in school, then try to work it out yourself!. Fight without drugs!Www@Answer-Health@Com
