Question: How do you deal with a spouse who's depressed!?
and in denial about it!? Who has attempted suicide and is also in denial
about that!. He has been diagnosed with depression!. He is also addicted to pain pills!. He is also blaming me for the pain of withdrawls!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well the very first thing I would do is start attending Co-Dependents 12 Step Meetings!. It sounds like you want him to get better than he's willing to put into himself=CO-DEPENDENT!.!.
You do not have the power to make him face his issues!. And if he's a drug addict at this time his drugs are a better friend than you are!. Sorry that's the way this disease works!.
As long as you are willing to take the blame he will continue to blame you and not address HIS issues!. Maybe it's time for a family Intervention, which would be conducted by a professional counselor!.
As long as you stay there as an excuse he will use you!. Maybe it's time for "tough love"!. Again look up 12 step Co-Dependent Group in your local phone book or call your local mental health agency!. I guess this isnt the best time to do that though!.
Try everything in your power to make him happy!. Put a picture collage screen saver on his computer showing all the things he loves and that makes him happy!. Try making him his favorite meals and doing everything he likes!. Maybe take a vacation, go with him to his favorite place!.
Dont let him sleep in if you can help it!. And dont let him just stay in the house all day!. Try to get him out and doing things!.
