Why do I always do multiplication in my head?!

Question: Why do I always do multiplication in my head!?

When ever I'm not doing anything important I always start doing simple and complex multiplication in my head without realizing or wanting to!. I can also carry on a conversation at the same time!. It doesn't irritate me or anything, but I want to know why it happens!.
