Hey there,

I started with derpression and anextiy disorder, when i was about 12 years old, and i was very bad at this time, and all through my teens, sucidal attempts, i would not go out the house , drink you name it , i have dont it, but this year was different at christmas 07, i suddendly said no i dont want to be anymore, i want to go back to work, i want to try and do things!. i dont know what you situation is at present, but derpression is like a time of rest a time where we can see the as their is a big black clound in front of our whole life vision!. what is making your life seems so down!? what do you want from your life that you are not getting!? and what is stopping to you!? what is the fear!? My fear from coming out of my derpression was my safety net, if i was not derpressed anymore or what ever i would not be able to keep running away, but now i have come to the point where i am sick of staying in and being derpressed of everything, you can get to the point with derpression where you do come sick of it, you will force yourself out of it!. i am still struggle with some anexity and derpression and its not as bad as before!. but on tuesday i am going to start a full time college course and i am going to try again, i am 19 years old, and i am going to try and lift this black clound as much as i can, if you want some more advice or want to chat!? email me, lets chatWww@Answer-Health@Com

No, depression doesn't last forever!.

Sure, there can be those very unfortunate people who feel depressed more than they feel happy!. But it is VERY uncommon for a human being to be depressed all their life!. It can go and come back!. It can go forever!. It all depends on how hard you work to get rid of it and how you respond to your therapy etc!.

Depression is beatable!. It is an illness but it's also a state of mind!. Depression is a seperate entity and it is not a part of you, no matter how hard it tries to take over your life!. I am trusting that through therapy you are going through CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)!? This form of therapy is very effective in helping you change your negative thinking into more optimistic thinking!.

The good thing is that you are already getting better because you have taken the step to get counselling!. It might be a long process but you WILL recover from depression!. Good luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's good you are getting therapy!. I was depressed from the age of about 6 until 22 but was never treated until I sought help myself!.

To be honest sometimes I do get down but not like before, I have learned to accept that feelings of being down are normal and will pass!. Through therapy you will learn to accept how you are, the more you acknowledge how you feel the more these feelings lose their power to harm you!.
People who believe that they should be happy every day are delusional and unrealistic!. The eternal quest for love and happiness is what is making many people unhappy!. Accept that life is what it is and just get on with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its true, for some people depression goes and then comes back, but with each time they are stronger and wiser and have learnt a hell of a lot since the last time!.
Depression is common from teen years on because its young people still trying to sort themselves out!. But then as they get older they manage to pull themselves together a bit more!. There is absolutely nothing to say that, now that your getting therapy, you wont be able to sort this out, and a year from now be completely recovered!. Don't give up, you're stronger than that!. depression effects people in a number of ways and people deal with also in different ways most people these days suffer with this illness just because of the hard life we all now have and its good that we can all support each other in time of need yes you may have relapses but its not the end of the world there are things you can do and help you can get think of the many people who are been told thy only have so much time to live thy don't get a second chance or a chance to fight its over for those poor people
so do think that you are very lucky and if you do have a relapse
get back on track with help from the professionals
and don't think about it coming back or things might trigger it off
stay cool
good luck
