Hey! i found out, the psychological evaluation is not a thing for your mental health!. they dont ask questions like that! this is what they do,

In my department, the test we took was taken from the military for top secret clearances!. It was 600 questions, of which there was about 30 different scenarios but they were phrased differently!. What they are looking for is your ability to judge a circumstance and be consistent in your evaluations!. Some questions deal with your basic personality and self impressions!. You will see questions like "My parents trusted my judgment as a teenager"!. True or false!. "My parents approved of my friends"!. True or false!. Multiple choice,,,,,,What would you like to attend!? A baseball game, a football game, a tennis match or a boxing match!? Can you see what is being looked at in these!. If your own parents dont trust your judgment, do you think a prospective employer would view this as a positive!. For the sports event, if you chose the boxing match, you are exhibiting a tendency to liking/watching violence!. Not necessarily something any department would want one of their officers to have when your job depends on being level headed and breaking up violence, not egging it on because you enjoy it!. Plain common sense prevails in this test!. Go with your first choice, gut instinct!. Dont overread the question!. It isnt a trick!. Good luck to you and I hope this has helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unless you disclose information about hurting or planning to hurt someone then whatever you say to the psychologist is confidential!.
It may be a different case if your employer has ordered you to talk with a psychologist because they may request a report!.
Check with the psychologist before you begin to ensure all you discuss is confidential!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. Like any job, one can be disqualified from a job if they are a threat to the people they help or dangerous to self!. Sometimes a former arrest record will disqualify a person from a job!.

You may be disqualified from the job if you don't take the meds!. One time a psychiatrist told me that if I don't take the meds he prescribed (to help me function) that he would report me to the Board where I am licensed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, you would not be disqualified for seeking help, but it still carries a significant stigma, so i wouldn't tell a lot of people that your were going to counseling!.

i'd recommend counseling to just about anyone, in spite of that fact that there are a few bad counselors out there!. if you try one and are not comfortable with them and/or are seeing no results, just go to a different one!.

for a self-help tip, try journaling!. don't just write about what you did and what happened each day, write about why, how that made you feel and what that told you about yourself!. I really believe that journaling is one of the biggest things that got me through the worst year of my life!.

i understand your reluctance to take medication!. IMO most medications are far overprescribed, but this is not to say that no-one should take any medication!. many of them can save your life and improve your quality of life!. Psychologists cannot prescribe medication, only Psychiatrists can!. (and md's)
