Answers:
No!. An alcoholic is some who needs a drink as opposed to someone who chooses to have a drink!. You must have just drank more than your body can handle!. The fact that you say you won't have another drink means you can control it and isn't dependant on alcohol!.

Now with all the boring stuff out the way !.!.!.!. how was the night!? Except passing out did you have a good time!? Usually when i drink too much its means ive had a brill time heheheWww@Answer-Health@Com

There are a lot of conflicting information on this topic!. I have been in the field for over 20 yrs and have always been taught that blackouts are for alcoholics and individuals who get too intoxicated pass out!. Big deference in the two!. When you have a black out you keep going but don't remember most of it the next day!. From all studies Blackouts are only saved for alcoholics-actually what is happening is brain cells that had recorded the information died off!. Brain cells do not heal or replace themselves-just GONE!. If alcoholism runs in your family you have a high percentage to be alcoholic!.
'Good luck just not drinking!. that' that's why they call it an addiction, due to the fact you can't just stop!. I'd suggest going to a couple 12 Step Meetings and maybe even trying a bit of counseling!. and for sure read all you can get your hands on about alcoholism and addiction!. Good Luck-it's a very destructive disease!. Let me add this to all the questionable advise you are getting!. You do not have to consume alcohol every day or even every weekend to be an alcohol!. The DSM IV-R states if you consume alcohol and it results in a problem then you are an alcoholci!. Having a Blackout is problem it could effect your safety in driving with strangers and with you finincial affairs!. If you would like to speak individual without 20 other opinions and have some specific questions I would be pleased to chat for a whileWww@Answer-Health@Com

From what I've heard and read there is no evidence that alcoholism is genetic!. I'm not 100% sure how true that is though, if anyone has credible sources to cite I welcome proof of my right or wrong-ness!.

It can be a learned thing, though!. So, psychological but not genetic!.

Teenagers are typically considered binge drinkers!. Meaning, they drink a lot of alcohol in a short amount of time, sometimes causing blackouts!. Unless you physically crave alcohol and start feeling sick (and possibly seeing things) if you don't consume it, you're not addicted!. If that is how you define an alcoholic, then you are not unless you are addicted!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nah, that happened to me once, and I have alcoholism in my family!. The way to know if you're an alcoholic is if you can't go without it!. If you can drink and then say "okay, next week i won't drink" and actually not drink, then you're good!. For example, I'm in college and I drink every weekend!. When I go home for Christmas break, though, I can go the entire time without a drop of alcohol, so I can safely assume I'm not an alcoholic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well there is a possible chance that you could become one!. But after what you did i doubt you are!. My dad last night drank so much it scared me he is kinda an alchoholic but hes done this numerous times!. Unlike him you said you will never do it again and if you get cravings to drink then you could be getting it!. If you do get cravings and start getting addicted to it then you definitely have it!. But as of now you don't!. Drink safely ;]Www@Answer-Health@Com

no is simple answer , go to a meeting of alcohlics annonymous see for your self and hear the stories nobody wants to now who you really are no details of who you are are taken and your free to call your self by what ever name you choose and you can sit and listen you dont have to join in !!!!!!! they are friendly!!! or if yo do it again go see the doctor if yo think its a problem get help!. your an individual dont blame it on others its your choice !!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Blacking out from too much booze isn't good - but it doesn't necessarily mean you are an alcoholic!.
What is good is that you are aware of the problems that drink can cause after seeing it in your family!.
If you are going to drink then do it socially and be in control!.

no, just normal by todays standards! lol!
