Question: I think my brother is going to snap!. Ideas!?
Ok so my brother is 17, and a psyciatrist said he might be a bit mentally unstable!. He seems to live in another world, and his only anchor to reality is a few people that he likes (not many, less than 10 people to my knowlage)!. He hates everyone else, thinks they are worthless and have no reason to exist except to annoy him!. He likes to spend most of his time alone and talks to himself often!.
These people that act as anchors are really just people he really admires, but i dont think he knows many of them personally; lately he has been acting even weirder!. I think he is getting to know one of the people he admires and they arent living up to his hopes for them!.
I think that if he loses the anchors to reality, he could snap and do something!.!.!.

heck everyone tends to talk to themselves all the time even if they are with someone or not!. It's like sorting out ones thoughts!. It just that they don't admit to it, cuase its human nature!. Maybe you can hangout with him more often, maybe you could be his anchor to pull him off the ship that he's sailing!. He is 17 and he is still in fact a minor until he turns 18 so your parents can get him help if they chose to!. Make sure your parents understand what you are seeing in regards to his behavior!. Is he still in school!? If he is, You can also contact the school councilors and explain to them what behaviors you are seeing and maybe they can offer him some intervention!. Anti Social Personality Disorder is what it sounds like to me but it is not uncommon to have more than one diagnosis!. Either way, this is nothing to turn your head to!. You never know where this behavior could lead!. Thank God for you as you are reaching for help for him!. Don't stop reaching!. Good Luck!
