I've met a lot of gays over the years and many seem mentally ill.?!

Question: I've met a lot of gays over the years and many seem mentally ill!.!?
They seem to have difficulty in monogamous relationships and often have multiple partners even within a so called monogamous relationship!.
Do you think my observations are correct and that homosexuality is the result of some failed relationship with parents especially the father!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
-interesting observation!. Many of the gay men I have known have had challenging/difficult relationships with their fathers!. They related much better to their mothers!.

I think young gay men who are just beginning to realize their preference do experiment a bit more which may appear to be a difficulty in maintaining monogamous relationships; however, once they accept and completely understand their homosexuality, they are just like heterosexuals and want love, commitment, fidelity, etc!. etc!.

My two best friends in the world are gay men, and they have been together faithfully for over 20 years - just got married in Canada last year!. I have had many conversations with them about this matter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that your observations are dead wrong and you are only considering a very small part of the gay populous!. I know many homosexual people who are great people, lead excellent lives and are contributing members of society!. There is nothing wrong with being gay, and it is most definitely not a mental illness, nor is it the result of some failed parental relationship!. Its just the way they are, just the same as you choose to have relationships with those of the opposite sex!. They should not be ridiculed or harassed for being strong enough to stay true to themselves and be who they really areWww@Answer-Health@Com

That's funny!.!.!.because I've met more "mentally ill" straight people than I ever have gays!. The leading cause of divorce is infidelity, so what does that say about heterosexual monogamy!?

Homosexuality is not a choice!. It is something you have since birth!. Infidelity has nothing to do with your sexual preference, but with the kind of person you are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the ability to be monogamous or not isn't really a mental illness
and no i do not think that homosexuality is a mental illness Www@Answer-Health@Com
