Repost...Can OCD inlude problems with unexplained anger (not frustration from OC!

Question: Repost!.!.!.Can OCD inlude problems with unexplained anger (not frustration from OCD)!?
This year, I have had anger problem that resemble rage attacks, where I was getting very mad for no reason!. My mom would talk to me and I would want to tell her to shut-up (I never did, but felt the urge)!. If I think about some injustice to me or others, I would go on this sick fantasy on how I would violently punish the person like I was some deranged psychopath!. I felt like I was on the brink of exploding with anger each day without provocation, like a chronic road rager!.

Me realizing I was going to snap one day or say/do something regretful to loved ones is when I decided this must stop!. I am making an effort at controlling my rage attacks with success by using some "chill out and shift gears" thinking, but I am not out of the woods yet!.

I still feel guilty for feeling such evil thoughts and I am still not cured of it by any means!.

These aren't violent images, I actually do become angry!. Is this related to OCD!. I know OCD compulsions "mutate" as time passes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The anger can stem from the OCD or it can be an isolated entity of it's own!.

Anger can create many problems as you probably already know: physical ailments, work, job and relationship difficulties!. I had a burst of anger which caused some problems so I completed an Anger Managment course (once a week for like 8 weeks)!. It really helped!. I also am in therapy, which can help for anger management too

It is good that you are aware of it - !.!.!.90% of the battle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As an OCD sufferer myself, I thought I'd give this one a go!.!.!.

OCD in itself is an anxiety disorder!. That being said!.!.!. symptoms while obsessive include extreme fear, restlessness, agitation, and worry!. Anger is NOT a symptom of OCD, but it can be a very real side effect of OCD medication (common SSRI's)!.

If you are O-C and on meds, I would DEFINITELY talk to your DR, to switch meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
