Strange addiction ???????????!


Question: Strange addiction !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
ok this will seem a bit of a weird question , but its not a joke ,

i am addicted to tic tacs , (the little mints that come in a box) i eat like a full packet a day , everyday , if i try to go a day without them , they get on my mind , if i don't eat one , imagine going to gip and just be sick for some wierd reason , i have got to the stage where i literally CANT manage without them , i have like a strange mini anxiety attack if the shop has sold out and i cant get non i cant go half an hour without needing to have a tic tac lol but seriously

i want to break my addicton but how!?!?!?!?!?!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, if you have to have an addiction at least this one won't kill you or leave you homeless!. Maybe you should try only taking a certain number of them with you --say cut down the number you're eating by 5 everyday until you get to a reasonable amount or none at all!. Or you could try chewing gum in the same flavor of your favorite tic-tacs!. Even if you never shake your tic-tac addiction I'm pretty sure you'll be ok but good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I kinda went through this when it was quiet at work, I once ate a full pack in under 10 Min's just out of boredom!.

Instead of going cold turkey try and limit the amount you have each day and slowly decrease the amount as time goes on!.

Keep yourself busy, it will just be like quitting smoking just follow the same type of steps since the majority of addictions are dealt with in the same way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same problem with Riesens and there's only one shop that sells them in my town!. I have been known to drive there, late at night, in my dressing gown!. Only you can stop this addiction!. Just stop eating them!. It's the only cure!. There are no pills you can take to make you stop!. Take control of your addiction and just don't buy any more!. You could try hypnotism I suppose but for tic tacs!?!?!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wean yourself off them, limit yourself to half a packet a day,

then a quarter pack !.!.!.

then allow yourself up to 6 a day, and bring the number down, and down until you're off them!.

Either that or try polo mints or chewing gum!.

its a compulsive dissorder!.try cutting down the ammount you eat every day!.!.!.!.slowly!.after a while your mind will accept that you dont need them!.

Sounds like OCD, see your doctor, they will give you some Cognitive behaviour techniques that will help you overcome this!. Don't be embarrassed in terms of OCD tic tacs will defiantly not be the weirdest thing they've ever heard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

could be an OCD disorder

try slowly changing the tictacs for another mint

then slowly take less and dont think of it as a whole packet

get a friend to be with u the whole day and tell him to make sure u dont eat tick tacks for the WHOLE day and then see how u feel when the day is overWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, I will say that sometimes going cold turkey and have the mini anxiety attacks, can be a better way to do it!. I was a smoker and I quit cold turkey!. It wasn't really as hard as it was for others for me, because I was thinking of someone close to me who had so many health problems from smoking since she had started at a young age and she was 85 when she died a month ago, same day I quiet smoking!. I know we are talking about two way different habits, and the price of the two habits, since tic tacs are so much cheaper than cigerettes!. And it isn't life threating to have these tic tacs!.

But it is your choice on cold turkery or slowly cut down on the amount you have a day!. Best wishes to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
