Do you think my therapist regrets taking me on?!

Question: Do you think my therapist regrets taking me on!?
I am seeing a therapist who is an intern at a local college, so she is not getting paid, I have a million issues, she even said she suggested I go 2 days next week

I can tell she might be bored with me or she might regret taking me on, do you think she regrets taking me on

Do therapists secretly hate their patients and wish they can be out playing tennis or doing something fun

I imagine the fact she isnt getting paid might be further incentive for her to hate meWww@Answer-Health@Com

If she's training then you're probably a good candidate for her!. She needs to get as much experience as possible and if you have many problems then she's going to learn a lot from you (and hopefully help you out too in the process)!.

If a person was training to be a dentist, they'd probably learn a lot more from a patient with lots of problems than someone with perfect teeth and I'm sure becoming a therapist is similar!.

I think you're probably good for her!

I don't have an opinion as to whether or not your counselor regrets taking your case!. Just had to tell you that I've struggled with those same fears a few times, and have seen many different therapists as a result!.

Perhaps it is a phobia that your troubles are insurmountable and no one could understand everything you're going through!?!? Nor would they actually want to, because it disgusts/frustrates you!. Just an idea!. If you do notice that tendency within yourself, you ought to think about why that is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm actually taking counseling now and it just sounds like you have a crappy counselor!.!.!.!.They're supposed to be in congruence and be genuinely interested!. But the best thing for you to do is tell her and ask if she has any regrets with you, for therapy to be effective you have to be open and just say whatever is on your mind!. So get it out there, and if you still aren't satisfied just get a new one, you can do better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My psychiatrist used to pull funny faces whenever I said the wrong thing, it actually got to be really funny because there she was trying to keep a professional demeanour and her face was betraying the fact that she thought I was a loony!. Either way we continued until I was well enough not to go anymore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you think your therapists life revolves around you!? It doesnt it!. Im sure she doesnt regret it because guess what!? She just doesnt only talk to you and you only, she talks to many other people with issues as well!

I doubt she even gives it a second thought!.

If she's bored or hates you or both, she'd better seek another profession and you might try to find another intern!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Even if she's not getting paid, I'm sure she's serious about helping you resolve whatever issues you have!. You are not there to entertain her so don't worry about her being bored!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had therapists that don't like me before and you just have to go with your gut and find someone else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hate is a strong word - why would she "hate" you!? Just because you have alot of issues doesn't make someone hate you!. I would think she may be alittle nervous b/c you are a challenge and hopes she can help you!. People study various fields due to their interests - if she doesn't like the field - she will choose another major - but it would take more than just one patient!.

Your therapist is a normal human being!. Some days her mind may roam alittle and/or wish she was doing something else - but again, if she likes what she is doing - she will take her job seriously!.

She may or may not be bored!. Just go in there and utilize her - and leave the results up to the Big Guy!. If the therapist was uncomfortable with you, she might ask someone else to take you on!. I wouldn't worry about it!.

You may want to address these concerns with her - that would be a major growth step for you probably!. Plus, you have the right to regret going to her and could choose to move on to another counselor!. It is a 2-way street!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
