It's never good to assume anything but it's clear she is having some emotional difficulties and trying to reach out to someone (regardless of what the core issues are) The best thing you can do is to be supportive and listen if she comes to you!. If you feel like she is in danger of seriously hurting herself, I would encourage you to tell someone who can intervene and help her!. I probably wouldn't press the issue with her if she doesn't appear to be open about it, but you can make comments like "It appears you are a little sad today!.!.!.anything you want to talk about!?" If she opens up, then you can pry a little more but if not, you may just want to respect her privacy!. Abuse is a very serious issue!. If you find evidence and/or strong suspicion her father is abusing her, I would absolutely encourage you to tell the authorities!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

wow it seems like your daughter has some serious problems

and you as her mother should be talking to her doctor or a therapist instead of coming on here

you daughter might end up killing herself and then what will you do !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Teenagers have their ups and downs all the time but as a person who sees this girl often at work you must see the pain in her eyes and the ache in her heart!. I would try talking tom her slowly gaining her trust and maybe then she will open up to you, it may not be a relative who is dong 'anything' or 'something' if you understand me Be there for her as much as you can, invite her for a coffee or lunch somewhere!. Where is this gorl's mum, maybe that's what is getting her down and out, please talk to her yourself before rushing in like a bull at a gate, either way you can help so she will be ok now! Good on you for looking out for another human being, not many people these days care less that is why child abuse is so rampant!Www@Answer-Health@Com

A year ago, I spent several weeks on jury duty for a trial involving multiple counts of sexual abuse on dozens of children in a day care!. Most of the witnesses that testified are now either teenagers or young adults!. It is alarming how little evidence of the abuse was demonstrated by the behavior of some children!. On the other hand, some of the other victims were literally "ruined" by what happened!. Some of the traits I did notice with some degree of consistency:

Difficulty with eye contact!. Maybe even staring down for the duration of an entire conversation!.

Difficulty in directly accusing the guilty party of anything!. Many victims felt they were "betraying" some trust!.

A sense of "normalcy" about what happened!. You would see a striking difference in this area between the victims that are now only teenagers versus those that are a little older!. (these crimes took place over a period of 23 years at the day care!.)

Most had a sense that they really didn't realize at the time that anything happening to them was really out of the ordinary!.

Most had no difficulty being within proximity of the offender should they bump into him in public!.

Anyway, just a list of characteristics we as jurors noticed during this trial!. Most items you listed seem familiar!. Didn't really see any evidence of cutting during the trial, though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
