How can I know for sure he is using drugs again?!

Question: How can I know for sure he is using drugs again!?
I have a horrible feeling my boyfriend is using opiates again, I don't have proof though, I haven't noticed him itching, but the other week were cuddling watching tv, and he nodded off, I don't know maybe he was just tired though!. Is lack of sex drive a sign he's using!? Please let me know some concrete signs or maybe more discreet signs I maybe missing, if he is he going to be VERY slick about covering it up, b/c the reason we broke up before was b/c he was on heroin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Reduced sexual desire and difficulty staying awake or keeping one's eyes open can be signs of opiate use!.

Other possible signs include "pinpoint" pupils and shallow breathing!.

However, these signs can be less pronounced where the opiate use is long-term and one has built up a tolerance to the drug!.

Have you noticed any withdrawal symptoms!?

Is he on an opiate substitute!?

As you know, no one here can give you a concrete answer!.

Good luck to you and your boyfriend!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The physical effects of opiates depend on the opiate used, its source, the dose and the method used!. Opiates slow breathing, heart rate and brain activity!. Opiates depress appetite, thirst and sexual desire!. The body's tolerance to pain is increased!. Potential contamination, using opiates in combination with other drugs, and using un-sterile needles all increase the danger of opiates!. Use of un-sterile needles can lead to hepatitis, tetanus or AIDS!.

Regular opiate users who abruptly stop using the drug experience withdrawal symptoms four to six hours following the last dose!. Symptoms include uneasiness, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, chills, sweating, nausea, runny nose and eyes, irritability, weakness, tremors and insomnia!. The intensity of these symptoms depends on how much of the drug was taken, how often and for how long!. These symptoms are usually strongest 24 to 72 hours after onset and can persist for seven to 10 days!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ask him straight up to take one of those at home tests from Walgreens!. He might be mad at you not trusting him but if he loves you and understands that you are only worried about his well-being he'll understand!. Take it from my experience, you don't want to go through a relationship always thinking that he lying!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If he has been instructed by his parole officer to take suboxone, he's probably using again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like he might be using again!. You have to decide if you want an addict in your life!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
