Does Zoloft change your personality ?!

Zoloft took away the depression for me, but made me just feel indifferent to people & situations!. Xanax is a mild tranquilizer that would not do that!. Just my experience!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was on Zoloft to help me with stress-induced depression a few years ago and it helped me quite a bit and didn't change my personality in the least!. Zoloft is a milder anti-depressant and Xanax is an anti-anxiety medication!. I have used both (though not at the same time)!. Zoloft made me tired in the beginning when I was getting used to it (the effect lasted for a couple of weeks) and then it simply had the effect that whatever used to cause me to feel frantic and upset about, I was able to handle with calm!. The same happened when I took Xanax!. As far as I know, there are no personality-changing side effects with either medication!. The most common side effect that I am aware of is sleepiness or a feeling of grogginess/dizziness!. If your friend's personality has changed, I think it has to do more with whatever is going on in her life which caused her to need the Zoloft and Xanax to begin with, and not the medication itself!. the zoloft shouldnt changer her personality to that extreme!. It could make her less effected by the things that normally would stress her out, but not to the extreme of changing her personality!.

xanax on the other hand could make her not care about a thing!.

Zoloft didn't do a thing for me at all!. So I don't think it would change someones personalityWww@Answer-Health@Com
