Question: Anti-depressants help!.!.!.missed two!.!.!.!?
I started taking anti depressants on Thursday!.!.Citalopram!. It's on 10mg, I think that's quite a low dose!.
Anyway, I left the pills at work on Friday so missed the two over the weekend, does this matter a great deal!?
I jus took my Monday one!. It should be OK, yeh!?

Also, what side affects do you get!? I've been really nauseated all weekend, and when I take them I get this anxiety!.
Did they help you!? Am having counselling as well as I think this is going to be helpful!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You have done the right thing by taking the Monday dose and not trying to 'catch up' your dose, which can be dangerous!.

Anti depressants need to reach a certain level in your bloodstream before they are therapeutic, and this normally takes about two weeks!. It is quite normal for your doctor to prescribe a low dose initially and then titrate your dose as your reaction and it's effectiveness is evaluated!.

Counselling and behaviour therapy is a great idea to support you and will give you a good grounding to managing your condition for life!.

Speak to your pharmacist about expected side effects, contraindications and precautions related to any medication!. This is their field of expertise, and the information they give you will be able to include interactions with any other medications, prescription or otherwise, that you might be taking!.

Good luck with managing your health condition, the effort will be worth it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You'll be fine - you just started taking them, and they haven't had much of a chance to even get started working!.

Did taking the pill Monday help with your nausea!?

I take Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) in the evening, for depression and anxiety!. I've been taking that for over a year and a half, and it's working very well for me!. I have not really noticed any side effects to speak of!.

Yes, the counseling helps a lot - if you get a good counselor!.

Best of Luck to you :-)

It will be fine, carry on taking them regularly from now!. I had awful side effects for exactly 14 days (weird!) nausea, migraine etc) and on the 14th day i was ready to ring the doctor for advise!. Suddenly it was like someone flicked a switch and it disappeared!. My doc says many people have said this!. Good Luck, they definitely help me xWww@Answer-Health@Com

I took anti depressants, I took them as I felt like a zombie and was very down, when i took the pills i felt quite un-naturally happy and spoke as if i was drunk (things came out without me thinking first) and was feeling like joining in with friends going out again!. THIS was a bad idea as drinking made things a nightmare! I became very agressive and had no memory of anything that happened the next day, people would say stories of things like me talking to myself (mumbling like i was asleep) and other too bad to mention embarrassing moments! the antidepressants are being tested on you aswell to see what happens but the thing is, u wont tell the doctor half the stuff that happens so they seem safe for the next patient! this was my experience anyway (briefly) over 3 years and i would highly suggest councelling instead, its good to let things out!. stopping the course will throw u off balance too so slowly ease off!.!. missing a day or 2 wont do anything really!.!. but never take extra to make up for it!. ask to see a psychologist and work the problems out instead! there are so many people feeling the same way, its horrible at the time but its not permanent unless you let it!. (i promise)Www@Answer-Health@Com
