Would you continue going to this marriage counselor?!

Question: Would you continue going to this marriage counselor!?
I don't intend to get a divorce!. But my husband is immature when it comes to dealing with his feelings!. I understand why and am giving him time to come to grips with his issues!. We were attending counseling together but he doesn't want to go back!. We have our rough days but good ones too!. Meanwhile, I want to work on my own issues (we both had terrible childhoods)!. The counselor thinks that I should work on my issues but made the statement that our marriage might have been a mistake because my husband has a hard time dealing with things!.
Should I continue seeing this counselor for my own issues!? or seek a different one!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If the counselor is even hinting at divorce for anything less than abuse, find another one! It shows he or she does not know how to guide people through the rapids patches, instead telling them to jump ship!

Your husband might have issues with maturity, but if he works at it, marriage is one context in which people can mature rather quickly!.

A CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapist) can help with setting goals and then setting the steps to reach your goals!. It could be quite helpful for both you and your husband!. See if there's someone near you - possibly a university with a department of psychology, as they often have students working under supervision who take clients for a low fee!.

No I would not continue to go to this counselor, if something is said to you behind you husband's back then something could be said behind your back to your husband!. If all that came out in a fight it could be devastating!. You both should be able to trust the person your in-trusting your inter-most feeling to!. If you belong to a church why not consider christian counseling, it gives a different twist to basic counseling!. I hope all works together for good for you!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the counselor is helping you then you might want to continue going to her!. If it's possible though you may want to find a different counsaler for your marriage counseling!.
