Answers:
The easy experimental answer to this question is 264 hours (about 11 days)!. In 1965, Randy Gardner, a 17-year-old high school student, set this apparent world-record for a science fair!. Several other normal research subjects have remained awake for eight to 10 days in carefully monitored experiments!. None of these individuals experienced serious medical, neurological, physiological or psychiatric problems

Seizures:

Not unless you are prone to them!. Sleep deprivation has many symptoms but seizures aren't one of them!.

Death:

This would only occur if you somehow were forced to stay awake by an external force as in torture!. Even on Wikipedia (not the end all be all of information sources) there's several studies on sleep deprivation and the longest is somewhere around 11 days!.!.!.

But death wasn't the outcome!.

I do believe that IF you were forced somehow!.!. to stay awake, it could cause some brain damage and eventually lead to death!.

But in the context of just trying to stay awake and eventually failing and falling asleep!.!. death is a pretty unlikely (but I'm not one to say impossible) outcome!.

Unless there is some circumstance we don't know about!.!. staying awake for 5 days is not going to lead to seizures and death!. If you were to stay awake for 2 weeks or so, it could lead to death as in the article listed below!.

"Another rare disorder, Fatal Familial Insomnia (FFI), is an autosomal dominate disease that is invariably fatal after about six to 30 months without sleep!. FFI is probably misnamed because death results from multiple organ failure rather than sleep deprivation!."

30 MONTHS!

Personally I wouldn't recommend it without proper supervision as the list of symptoms of prolonged sleep deprivation is not good but I'm only answering your question based on the available evidence!.

Yes there is!. But you will probably fall asleep when needed!. You will hallucinate badly too if you haven't already!. It doesn't cause seizures but you may get things resembling seizures like your muscles jerking about of falling asleep and jerking awake!. In fact, you have probably slept, or will (microsleeps)
without realizing!.
All the people who done the experiments before were monitored by a doctor!. In short, you're an idiot!.

Also, why would someone start doing something potentially dangerous then 3 days into it, ask if it's you know, maybe, like, a bad idea!?

sleep deprivation can cause mental illness
can make you feel like your drunk
accidents (while driving) can happen when you are sleep deprived
and why would you want to stay up for 6 days
i think there are more important things to do
and why would you want to endanger your health
please stop now and get a good nights sleepWww@Answer-Health@Com

these experiments were done by the nazis in concentration camps during the second world war, on jewish prisioners!.!.!.!. and yes, sleep deprivation can kill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

mental risk!? not a chance!. you cant get anything from not sleeping!. if you some how make your body immune to sleep then yes you will die eventually but 6 days is nothing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
