Question: Has anyone taken Celexa!?
I have only taken two 20 mg pills and I haven't taken any more in the last two days but my heart is racing and I'm nauseous and sweaty!. How long do two pills take to leave your system!. Also I can't concentrate!. I feel as though it has taken an hour to type this question and I have made a lot of mistakes typing this simple question!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The loss of concentration is a side-effect of the Celexa, likely not to abate over time!. Antidepressants typically take a few weeks to become completely saturated (functional) in your system!. 40mg is the therapeutic dose, however it's usually recommended you start less and work your way up!.
You should begin with 5mg for about a week, 10mg for another 3 days, then 15 for 3 days, 20 etc!. You won't know exactly how the drug will affect your system until you've been on it for about a month!. Also, if you decide to discontinue using it, repeat the process to taper down the level of medication in your system!. It's true it has a half life, but not that much!.
The racy heart, nausea and sweatiness are also side effects (especially the latter)!. You may experience night sweats as well!. One option would be to change when you take the pills (ie morning to night or viceversa)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
