Answers:
There is no shame in seeing a psychiatrist and taking Lexapro - There should be shame with people that do have a problem and are too proud to do something about it!. If you were depressed and sought out help, then KUDOS to you!. Why are you ashamed!? Are you telling people about seeing a psychiatrist!? I believe its no ones business what you do!. I never offer anyone any information that makes me feel uncomfortable!. And if anyone asks that rude question, they really don't deserve an answer!. And don't feel flawed, its just the same as if someone had cancer,; they can't help it and neither can you!. Stay strong and stick up for yourself - It will make you feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Why would you feel ashamed!. Sounds to me like your doing everything you can to improve your quality of life, for yourself and those around you!. That is all I've ever asked of anyone in my life!.!.!.!.to try!.

I would ask you to not be too critical of your husband!. Granted, he talked about your business without your permission, but!.!.!.!.

I have had to!.!.!.as in "had to" do the same with my significant others family!. Not to invade her privacy, but to make sure I was best able to help her through a serious difficulty she was facing!. We could of all guessed our way through it and hoped we were correct, but it was far more beneficial for her that we combined our individual understanding!. She became aware of it and hated it, but eventually came to terms with the matter!. Not condoning anything, but sometimes you do something out of concern and for the greater good!.

That is so sad!. Tell your husband that you don't want him to tell anyone about you seeking treatment, that it is already hard enough to go and not feel ashamed let alone him telling his parents!!

I would tell your therapist about this as well so he/she can help you work through it!.
