If your paying for the visit, your not wasting his time!. Your paying him to help you!. Just tell him exactly why your there and ask him some of the symptoms and ask if he thinks it could possibly be anything else!. I hope it all works out!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Amy, jot down some short notes to remember: for example; check light switch and water, count how many steps to!. !. !., I feel like he contaminates my food!.!.!.!.!.!.

Whatever applies to you, it is ok to say you think you have OCD, they don't judge you-believe me, If you have it they will know!. At first my daughters doctor, before the referal-stopped to listen and I wondered if he believed me, but hey this is my child and he's goin to listen if I'm paying him!. But he soon found out she did have OCD tendencies an he refered me to someone who could help!. REMEMBER: you pay him: you have every right to tell him what you believe to be true!. THis is not scary at all, actually you will find it a relief!. Her first doctor (talking about him above)-started to open up and said that he had colleagues that he went to college with that had OCD tendencies, he just was apologetic that he couldn't do the course of therapy-he wasn't trained for it, so he recommended the best in the area!. Believe me, they will put you at ease-not on the defensive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey there!

I understand you 100% as this happened to me a bit less then a year ago!. However, that being sid I wasn't really sure what was wrong(now I know its anxiety)!. I am actually also going through some ocd right now and I think I might know how you feel: Well for me, I dont want to teell the doctor that I have ocd because its like whos the doctor here me, or you!. But at the same time I want him to know that I am getting many symptoms and its interupting my day and even if it may not be a diagnosis, I would like to do something about it!. Ofcourse you're going to be nervous, thats normal!. If I were you, and this is just an idea, you could tell him that youve been experiencing all these symptoms, whichever ones you have, and you were curious as to what was going on so you looked it up, and you thought that ocd really reflected what you were going through!. Anyway its just an idea, but good luck with tomorow! trust me, its really not bad as it looks, ive been through this kind of thing many times!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

There must be some reasons why you think you have OCD!.
So just say to your doctor ' I'm really worried about myself because!.!.!.!.' and then describe the behaviours or feelings that make you think you have the illness!. He'll probably ask you some more questions to form his own diagnosis and then you can discuss treatment options!.
Good luck, it's scary but really better for you to go for help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

just tell the doctor that you think you have OCD, they will ask you a number of questions (probably off the computer), when you have answered all of them it will tell the doc if your symptoms are associated with OCD and if it is how bad it is!.

doc done that to me when i told him i had depression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just be open and honest!. If you do have OCD, he will know!. If not, he can explain his reasoning to you and what it is he thinks may be the problem!. You have the information he needs so don't be afraid to share it with him!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

What is it that makes you believe you have OCD!? Tell him what it is you do that you think is OCD-ish!. Start talking, it'll pour out if you let it!. Don't be embarrassed, you'll be seeing a professional who wants to help people!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just tell him/her about your symptoms and they will do what is best!. There are no magic words we can tell you to say that will make everything all better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just explain your symptoms to your doctor as to why you feel you have OCD!. You're not wasting his time by doing so!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
