Question: Is it weird to still have an imaginary friend at 15 years old!?

Answers:
No, it is not weird!.

Harry Potter has been an imaginary friend to many people over the years!. Many of these people are now over the age of 15 years old!. A lot of the characters in movies, television shows and books have been imaginary friends to their fans!. Even some adults claim that Santa Claus is their friend!. Ventriloquists talk to their imaginary friends, whom others might insist are real!.

Most people are invisible to others at any one time!. A lot of people consider deceased people to still be their friends, at least in their hearts!. One individual's perception of reality might not be identical to that of another person!. However, this circumstance does not necessarily make them mentally disturbed!.

I am sure your "imaginary" friend is more real than are the credentials of some of the so-called mental health experts who might offer to "help" you with your "problem"!. They include the self-styled ones on Yahoo! Answers!.

Do not worry about what other people may have to say in the way of condemnation of the friend that you keep!.

It is always important to have a firm grip on reality, including the possible reality of potential thieves and liars who are lurking about even on this web site!. Having an imaginary or invisible friend should not necessarily deter you from being a realistic individual!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the circumstances!. If it were to throw positive suggestions at you, then it's fine!. There is no such thing as being wiered in life, in which case, the term wiered is being slightly distinct in comparison to a norm or normal!. However, that's a different subject!. Anyway, if your imaginative friend or voice within your mind was to throw positive suggestions, it's nothing other than a beneficial to you!. However, if it were to throw negative suggestions, telling you to commit suicide or to commit murder or to avoid enjoying your life, etc, then it would be a negative for you, in which case, you could eliminate it by writting a new consistency to your subconscious mind!.

The chances are; you created it or your subconscious created it itself (That is; interpreting the reality your within and then analysing the current scenario's)!.

You can eliminate a negative psyche by throwing positive suggestions towards yourself and your perception of reality; become an optimist or naive!. Your mind will adapt to your perception, the desires you wish to achieve!. However, since your subconscious has no method for detecting negative or positive (That is; your subconscious mind is your brain processing reality and your life experience), it can adapt to a negative perception of reality, causing you to become depressed and even suicidal in some cases!.

Anyway, it's fine if it's creating positive suggestions for you!. However, presumably, your imaginative friend is active within your mind and isn't leaking out towards reality (That is; your not talking to this friend as it were a real person in reality, but are talking to the friend in your mind!?)!.

Umm, yes it kinda is weird!.
You have an imaginary friend if you speak and act as though you're speaking to a real person, but really, there's no one!.
It's normal if you speak to yourself out loud or in your head (I always speak to myself in my head), but to go and speak as though i'm speaking to someone!.!.!.no!Www@Answer-Health@Com

They are your alter ego and ever faithful !. Don't ever stop talking things outwith yourself just not out loud in the middle of the street!.
It is a great way of preventing Mental Health!.

Word of advise never play cards with yourself, cheat yourself, catch yourself cheating, get very angry and promise never to talk to yourself again!. It gets lonely at every ageWww@Answer-Health@Com

Only if the person who has the "imaginary friend" believes that the friend is real!. Having a "dream friend" that one daydreams about is pretty normal!. Believing that the dream friend is real, making space on the couch for her/him, etc!. would be very odd for someone that age!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, if it's just something you daydream about, and it doesn't interfere with your life or cause you any pain at all, it's probably just a very active imagination!.!. but if it affects you more than that, or interferes with your thinking, maybe you should talk to someone!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it weird, you know it's an imaginary friend and probably get comfort and reassurance from your friend!.
Teenage years are troubled enough, if you find this helps and not worries you go ahead, keep your friendWww@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe it's not "imaginary"!?!?

Maybe it's a spirit!?

I don't know, just a thought!. I don't know too much about religion and the after life (if there is one) but who knows, maybe this friend of yours is a soul in another realm!?

That would be so cool!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nothing in this life is weird!. Having said that, it is very unusual for a 15 year old to have an imaginary friend!. Maybe you could elucidate a bit more and I may be able to help you with the whys and whereforsWww@Answer-Health@Com

it's ok, i talk to my self like part of me is someone else sometimes (mostly when i'm angry or upset) it calm's me down a lot, i don't tell anyone else though, but i think its quite normalWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, you'd look like a lonely person if you spoke to your 'friend' in public!.
If you really want an imaginary friend, speak to them at home when you're alone!. :PWww@Answer-Health@Com
