i have been on zoloft for 7 years!. with the help of my doctor we lowered the dose 4 weeks ago!. Im have trouble ajusting to the new dose!. I almost feel autistic!. I feel completely different, and even not near as smart as I was weeks ago!. I really cant handle the side effects of the medication anymore! I really want to get off of it, but how long does it take to used to not having it!? Has it altered my brain!. I really dont have very many thoughts anymore!. its like Im completely dumb!. there is no rush of thoughts and I cant get used to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

After losing another job due to people saying I was short with people I thought I better check out the side effects of zoloft!. I had no idea that the argumentativeness was a side effect!. I have also gradually started having increased symptoms of lethargy, decreased concentration, brain fog, decreased motivation, & not caring about things!. I used to have energy, want to do things, be able to concentrate and focus!. !. I have all of the side effects!. It is a VERY hard drug to wean off of but you CAN do it! I'm surprised that your doctor kept you on this drug for so long! It is VERY addictive, along with the bad side effects!. You will have to be weaned off of it because to fast can cause major problems!. The symptoms you are experiencing are from the withdrawal, just like you would have from going off of any "illegal" drug!. But you can do it, it will just take time!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
The problem with these drugs is that it effects people differently!. Talk to your doctor, maybe a combination of two or more different drugs might be more effective!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
