Question: Teenager!. Low self-esteem, BAD insomnia!. (help!?)!?
I'm type one diabetic and i have a ''pooch'' on my stomach from so many years of needles, im sure not many people notice but i feel like sh*t!. I hate my body, the way i look and everything about me, i look in the mirror and i just want to cry, i feel so ashamed, i wish some child dying of aids in another country could have my life instead of me because they would deserve it more and appreciate it!.I
wear alot of makeup even though it doesnt look like ALOT !.!. i do my hair, i take hours thinking about what im going to wear the next day and i try to look my best but i just want to die!. I exercise, eat right!.!. i dont know what else i can do anymore, if a guy asks me out i will turn him down, even if i am madly in love with him (lol) because im just not good enough, i mean i dont even want to be seen by anyone, and then he will think i dont like him/theres something wrong with him ect!. but its just me and i try to explain but its just hard!.!.!. i take like billions of dietpills because i give up (and yes i know how in the end ill end up gaining more) i literally think i have mental problems and im going crazy, and ontop of that i have the worst relationship with my parents, they beat me constantly and call me down!.!.!.i cant sleep worth sh*t!.!. I will have to get up at 6am for school but i will only get to sleep around 4-5am and ive tried EVERYTHING to get to sleep (sex, sleeping pills, hot milk, exercise,reading, music, tea, alcohol everything) and its like, i will be soo tired all day at school but as soon as i get home im wide awake again!.!. then on weekends i dont usually even sleep!.
I dont want to make it seem like i think i have it so hard, i just dont know what to do and im tired of it!.
If anyone has ANY suggestions!.!.please help!. lol thanks xoxox

There's something wrong with your logic: you ARE good enough, and deserve, at the very least, the good things you have in your life!.

You are like I used to be!.!.!.self depricating, pessimistic and lonely (not for any particular reason!.!.!.!.for me it was self inflicted lonliness)!.

You need to change your sub conscious, and allow positive thoughts to dominate who you are!.

As for sleep, try DOING something all day!. If you're as depressed as I was, you probably spend alot of time sitting around doing, really, not much at all!. Volunteer for community service!. Pick up guitar!. Do random crap with friends!. If you stay busy ALL DAY LONG, you will be exhausted by the end of the day!. Plus, enforcing a CONSISTENT bedtime will help regulate your sleep wake cycle!. Getting up at 8 A!.M!. all week doesn't do anything if you stay up till 3 A!.M!. on Fridays and Saturdays!.

I used to hate myself, and everything entailed with that!. Do you smoke!? Do dangerous things on a whim!? F**k without a condom because you just don't care!? You need to say to yourself "I, (insert name here), DESERVE and DEMAND better than this"

Number one tip tho: be around people as much as you can stand or care to!. Depression is almost always caused by lack of a social life!. Humans are social creatures!. Even if **** at home is effed up and you may feel miserable, go out in public with a smile on your face!. This isn't be ingenuous, it's being brave!.

Diet pills!.!.!. If you think everything you have to deal with now is bad, wait until you destroy your kidneys with them like I did!. Vomiting, infections, hospital trips!. Oh it's fun!.

Yeah, well you better make an appointment with a psychologist!. Make up your mind you are all you have and your body is the only one you are ever going to get!. something is definitely bothering you at school!. Get off the diet pills immediately!. Im serious!. immediately!. You are going to see a world of difference!.You may find that you will be able to sleep then!. Try to think back!. did you have insomnia before you started taking the diet pills!?You are causing your own self problems by using the diet pills!.
Get some "SeaSilver" online or from a "Sturdee" health food store this is vitamins and good stuff for your body but it helps you lose weight, even though it is not a weight loss product!. Combine the Sea Silver with exercise they teach you in gym/dance class, and I guarantee you, you will lose weight!.Lets just think a head, say you lost the weight, now what !? Could you be happy then!.I want you to know that everyone, I mean everyone comes under this kind of mental attack(about hating themselves or their body) even pretty girls and popular people!.The day you go off the diet pills,schedule an appointment with you doctor, it may be you will get to see him a week after you have stopped the diet pills!.I want you discuss all of what you have said here and listen to his feed back!.If after a week of being off the diet pills, you still cant sleep, you'll get a prescription from him for sleeping pills!. He will monitor the sleeping pills for your safety!.
Keep all follow up appointments with him!. Listen to and go over what ever it is your parents have asked you to do, or whatever it was that they were complaining about to you, make a list of these things,o these things or dont do these things!. Check off everyday when you have done these things or have avoided doing these things!. If most of their complaints were about school I have some advice about that too!. You are going to have to READ the books they have given you!. If you have trouble with the words, after you do the homework to the best of your ablility!. Spend your weekends going through a dictionary and finding out what these words mean!.

Look,with education half your battle is won just by reading!. Now Im going to tell you to do something crazy!. If your parents are not educated and only you are going to know this!. What ever you are having trouble with as far as your studying and homework, you are going to have to ask one or both of them for help!. Just say Ma I need help with this, will you help me!? If they say they dont know anything about it, you must call up your aunt, uncle, cousins and say the same thing!. If its hard to explain over the phone then go over there!. Somebody in your family is going to be able to help you!. If noone can, Then look around in your neighbohood, watch for people going to work, choice those people who wear suits and carry briefcases!. Catch them and say you need help with your home work and could they please maybe give you 15 minutes of their time!. They are going to know how to do the work that you have been given!. Make a list of about 4 of these people!. Give them your phone number!. They will make arrangements with you to give you some of their time to help you!. Dont let any negative thoughts make you afraid to do this!. substitute any negative thought with the truth!. " I need to get this home work done", I want to succeed"!." I want to be better" !.
