Question: Has Effexor-Xr given you severe acne!?
Been taking it for 9 months, currently 150mg!.!.!.I've never had such bad acne in my life, I get acne but never as bad as this, all over my face, back, boobs!.!.ugh!. Everyone complains about my acne and it makes me feel worse, but its not like I can help it, I tried eliminating sweet foods entirely for a few weeks and it made little difference lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, how old are you though!? It may not be the effexor but just natural!.!.!. I took it awhile and it sucked- the depression went away but I slept alot and was never able to feel really happy- just a flat line of emotion!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
Ask your doc that prescribed it if you can safely switch to like Prozac, Zoloft, or another SSRI!.!.!.!.!.
EDIT::: I'm 22, I was on it when I was 21, I can remember breaking out when I stopped taking it, but I figured it was just because the chemicals were leaving my body!.!.!.!.!. talk to the doc about giving you something else!. There's too many alternatives to stick with Effexor if it's giving you unpleasant side effects!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I took effexor for 3 years but never had that problem!. I would switch to a different med if i were you!. It made me feel alot better when i quit!. My dr!. switched me to prozac and I quit off that so I didnt get any if the bad withdraws effexor can give you!. Now i dont take any medication and I feel so much better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It didn't give me acne, but it totally destroyed my sex life and made me want to commit suicide when I stopped taking it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
