Question: I can't take this stress anymore!!!!!?
I've had a lot of problems with stress and anxiety and I'm starting to think that it wouldn't be a bad idea to see a therapist or something like that!. It's started to affect my appetite and it overwhelms me when I'm in big crowds of people!. I'm 15 and a sophomore in high school!. Now, sometimes I have plenty of reasons to be stressed, while other times I get stressed and panicked for no reason at all!. I will feel shakey, my hands will feel sweaty, and sometimes I will even want to cry!. During lunch, I don't eat much, and I don't want my boyfriend to think I'm anorexic or something, which I'm not and never could be!. I'm also a very shy person, and I don't know what to say when people ask why I'm so quiet!. I have been picked on in 7th and 8th grade and still get picked on sometimes!. Another thing that happens more often than it used to is I feel like I'm in a dream, and it bothers me A LOT!. My ex boyfreind is no help at all cuz he bohters me and won't leave me alone and is always asking for hugs! I asked my mom if I can see a therapist and she said she'd consider it!. I used to think this was no big deal, but now I'm starting to think I have some sort of anxiety disorder!. What can I do when I feel like I'm having an anxiety attack in public!?!? Should I see a therapist!? PLEASE HELP!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know how you feel sweetie!. Its a horrible feeling to have!. But it is curable, Do you see a therapist because you should they helped me soooooo much!. In the mean time if you get a feeling of panic then you are supposed to sit it out although people tend to run away from the situation, but if you stick it out it will get easier!. You can consider yourself to have a panic disorder but you have to fight it no matter how hard it is!. YOU CAN DO IT!. Try contacting a therapist and they can prescribe you medication!. It sounds like anxiety to me!. I had a bad case of this too!. I really think that if it's as big a problem as you say, a few therapist sessions could do you some good!. If not, you can go on various sites in order to obtain some important stress management exercises

In the olden days they would describe almost all of your symptoms as "growing pains" (there are physical and mental ones)!. Nowadays, it's recognized that they are due to hormone production that is waking up as part of puberty!.

So, you don't like to be hugged!? Or is he only asking for hugs and not returning 'em!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

What are kids supposed to do when they get lost in the woods!? Hug a tree!. The principle with panic attacks is similar!. Hug a pole, sit on a bench, or lean on a fence!. This will give you one and only one thing to do, and a place to do it!.!.!.until you are ready to handle more!.

And yes, I hope you do see a Counselor or Therapist!.

I have exactly the same thing except that i'm male and i'm 17 and everybody is much more mature so it could be considered easier than 8th or 7th grade!. Don't worry :) a lot of people feel the same way!. Do not let your feelings control you, what I mean is, if you're feeling nervous or stressed, be in charge of your mind and force yourself to focus on something else!. I know exactly how you feel and I've found that thinking about a feeling just makes it worse!. This is good to follow "What You Think Is What You Feel", don't worry about it, just keep your mind occupied!.

The reason you feel like you're in a dream is because your brain is bored; it needs to be stimulated, so you don't really feel there, you just feel like you've seen it all before, it is very common don't worry; just refer to what i said above about keeping occupied!.
