I'm Bipolar - will I ever have a stable relationship?!

Question: I'm Bipolar - will I ever have a stable relationship!?
I'm 29, bipolar and recently divorced!. I had an affair with a married man!. Just for the record, bipolar is not an excuse for bad judgement!. I realize this!. In any case, I understand something like 92% of marriages involving a bipolar partner end in divorce!. I can't imagine I could ever trust anyone after what I've done!.!.!.I can't imagine being completely insecure (I was before the affair)!.!.!.I can't imagine not pestering the crap out of my boyfriend (I do this now)!. I'm on medication!.!.!.lamicatal!. I feel like I'll always be alone!. Not trying to be dramatic - just being honest!. Right now I'm still with the guy!. I love him!.!.!.!.I can't let him go!. I'd rather be lonely with him than alone I guess!. I'm a nice girl!. Honest!.!.!.Just judgement challenged maybe!. Anyone had experience in this area!? Anyone believe in real love anymore!? Anyone been happy and been bipolar!? Thanks in advance!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bipolar disorder is a very difficult thing to live life with, but you can have a successful life and relationship!. Make sure the medication you are taking is the right one for you and talk with your doc about how you feel on it!. Make sure you meet regularly with a therapist you feel comfortable with and talk honestly with them, they can help you!. My mother had bipolar disorder and many other mental illnesses, I have probably inherited some of them but manage to live a happy "normal" life by talking to a life counselor once a week and living a balanced life!. Eat a healthy diet and exercise, it sounds bogus but this will help you be mentally sound!. Dont be down on yourself and if your man is not what you want for a partner then dont settle!. Good luck Www@Answer-Health@Com

My x wife had the same condition as you!. Yes you can have a normal and lasting relationship if you and your spouse work together!. That means to se a mental health counselor together so he and you both have a better understanding of whats going on!. Also look on line for support groups they all have been there and have the same problems, Good luck and the best to remember your never alone if you don't want to be right!? Look at now your not alone people are there to help like with your question, remember that all the time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'll be 26 next month and I have been in a stable relationship for a year!. We are engaged to be married, I am bipolar and so is he, so we understand each other but we are both very stable and working good jobs on medications!. Your unstable relationship has nothing to do with bipolar, it has to do with your unfaithfulness!. It doesn't make sense that YOU would not trust anyone, since you were the one that did wrong!. I believe you read that false statistic and made it your self-fulfilling prophecy due to VERY bad judgement!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As long as you are medication compliant and may go to for outpatient treatment, you should be fine!. If he loves you he'll stay!. Just realize that you may need to develop healthy coping skills for your mood instability!. Maybe excercising, keeping up with a daily schedule, meditating when feeling unstable, etc!. As long as you're able to do these things & other healthy coping skills, you should be fine!. You may have your setbacks but if you love each other enough, you'll be alright!. Maybe you can join a support group too!. Good luck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've been with a few bipolar girlfriends and, yes, it is very difficult to have a relationship!. I do think that there is a way to make things work if you find a guy that is understanding about it!. I would still give it another try, but I know I'm in for a bumpy ride!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know where you get your statistics!.

Why wouldn't YOU trust SOMEONE ELSE after you're the one who fueled this fire !? Sure, it's not completely your fault, but!.!.!. eh!.

Never the less, stop paying attention to that labeling crap!.

Unless you're mentally unstable, can't hold down a job, wear a coat in the summer, etc!.!.!. you'll be fine!.

Work hard to control yourself is the best advice I can give you!.

Best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

We have some pretty senseless fights sometimes!. But we are still together!. If you find someone who can accept you as you are, it can work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont have bipolar, but I think it would be very hard to have a stable relationship if your meds arent right and your emotions are see-sawing between one extreme and the next!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm bipolar and have been happily married for 6!.5 years!. Take your meds and keep a journal!. A great way to learn your highs and lows!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you stop believing that you are bipolar!. I'm sure someone has already pumped this into your brain!. But what you have is a spiritual issue!. Start praying to God and asking him to help you!. Ask him to prove to you once and for all what the truth is!. In fact ask him to lead you to the truth about what is going on with you!.

I promise you, if you just continue what you are doing, and pray each evening, God will lead you to the truth, answers will begin to come to you, in fact after I write this I'm going to pray for you right now!. I know that God is going to help you!. And when he does all of your relationships will improve!. Man's mind is finite, small!. Only God knows what we really need!. Man tries to answer everything through labels and pills!. But you will be OK now, I believe with all my heart soul and mind that God will help you!.

Bless you,

That's is sad!. I do know that you can be better though!. I am unsure if I am bipolar or not but was on the same medication as you!. It actually made me worse as it doesn't work for everyone!. I made the same mistake you did!. Is he still married and seeing you!? Yes, you can be happy but you have to take steps to get there despite the fact that you don't want to!. It's hard to get motivated to do what's good for you but its soo important!. Get a gym membership and start to go OFTEN!. You will hate it at first but will make a big difference!. EAT RIGHT! sounds wierd but even if you are not overweight you will feel better about yourself!. Do a lot of cardio!. get a hobby! seriously, doing something creative can make a HUGE difference!. I took up beading and it helps me a lot!. Do anything you can to not be in your house alone doing nothing!. Usually people with bipolar disorder tend to have low self esteem (esp, if you are someone with a married man) Find people who make you feel good about yourself and be with them!. Learn your own worth and don't feel guilty for past mistakes even tho that is hard!. You can do it! I am trying my best right now and I'm on the right path!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you try to do everything out of your own strength it won't work, you must pray!. Sure if you pray to Jesus! :You have not because you ask not!." Just ask Him! He's always lstening!. : )

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened!.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone!?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent!?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him!?
