Self inflicting actually good?!

Question: Self inflicting actually good!?
I don't cut or anything but I scratch at my wrists, I snap rubber bands on myself and I pinch myself!. I know it doesn't sound healthy!. But isn't anything that makes you feel good/better supposed to be healthy for you!? I'm not hurting anyone else by doing this, so how is it bad!? It's a stress reliever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bah, you're fine!. I did the same thing, and!.!.!.well, eventually it did get out of hand (avoid razors) but nothing bad came of it, aside from a scar!. The fact is that causing harm to yourself makes your brain send up those little happiness jolts(endorphins) to your brain!. Now, you will build up an immunity, and you will need to cause MORE harm, but most people don't progress to that point too quickly!. Meh, try listening to some descent music, makes you feel just the same!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just because you're not cutting yourself doesn't mean it's not self-mutilation!. Just look here--http://www!.helpguide!.org/mental/self_inj!.!.!.
Your behaviors are listed!.
Yes, it's not hurting anyone, and it's not technically hurting you (other than the obvious!.) However, here are the problems:
1) The reason you do it (biologically) is that feel-good chemicals are released when you do it (endorphins)!. People can get addicted to it, and like any addiction, you'll need more and more!. So a rubber band snap might work now, but only a cut would work later!.
2) There is a reason you're doing this!. Stress, depression, whatever--there is something wrong in your brain, and you need to see a doctor about it before it gets out of hand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If only it was so easy!.!.its the underlying reasons why people cut thats the bad thing!.!.so they are using an unhealthy coping mechannism to not have to face the problems!.!.ie they are feeling such emotional hurt and anguish thet they cut them selves to feel physical pain so they dont have to deal with the emotional pain!.!.like drinking or doing drugs to forget the hurt!.!.problem is that 1 it doesnt fix the problem!.!.people get more anxious until they cut again and feel release then feel ok then have to cut again etc!.!.so u say its a stress releiver but in self inflicting cutting ur stress is increased due to u cutting and then needing to do it againn to get releif!.and 2 unhealthy coping mechanisms bring their own problems!.!.!. dirnking problems,, cuts and scars and guilt and shame!.!.!.so it all gets worse and worse and the original problem never gets dealt with!.!.!.
Sound fair!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's bad in the sense that scratching yourself, and pinching yourself usually are the beginning stages of self injury!.

It's also bad because it's not a healthy way to cope with things that are stressing you out!.

Alcohol and drugs make you feel better for a time to!.!. are those good for you too!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like a nervous habit!. It feels good because you know it's coming--if somebody else did it to you, it would feel like a violation!. And not everything that feels good is healthy!.!.!.look at drug abuse!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

thats not that bad!. In the psychiatric hospital, i kept a rubber band around my wrist and would pull it and let it hit my writs, andpinch myself and stuff from my anxiety!. they didnt think there was anything wrong with itWww@Answer-Health@Com

well, you know little things lead to big things!. be careful about this because you might only be scratching and pinching now!.!.!.but it might lead to more serious problems later-like cutting!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
