Overthinking leads to anxiety and vice versa!.You have to focus on what are you over thinking about!.Talk to yourself and ask yourself whether it is really worth all the time to be overthinking about!.For instance if it has something to do with work or school and is important then it is normal for you to over analyse it!.But if it is something simple and not important then it becomes a problem if you overthink!. If you have lots of thinks to think about tell yourself!."Okay i will think about it when i go to bed"!.Keep pushing the idea in your head!.Then it won't affect your everyday routine and by the time night comes the issue won't really be an issue anymore!.keep yourself occupied!.Have you heard the saying an idle mind is a devil's playground!.

To ruminate on the same thing over and over is a form of anxiety called obsession; if you act on things repeatedly, then it is compulsion!.You may want to talk to your therapist about OCD -obsessive compulsive disorder!. But just frequently thinking about same thing is not necessarily an obsession!. Talk to your therapist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that possibly over analyzing things can be an obsession as well!.

It's good that your getting counseling, but maybe seeing a psychologist would be a more appropriate approach!.

Take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd say you're lacking control in your life!. Really think about why you are in counseling!. It's usually one thing that has happened to you!. If so!. Confront it face on!. Take back your controlWww@Answer-Health@Com
