Here's an interesting statement people like to make, without thinking much over what it means: in theory there is nothing wrong with suicide, given that it is a rational decision!. BUT if you consider suicide, you are obviously so depressed/delusional that it can not be considered a rational decision!.
so in my opinion, no suicide in itself doesn't have to be a sin!. but it can rely on several factors!. how you leave your family behind, f!. ex!.

Firstly, I do want to state that I'm not religious, but however this discussion came up in a religious article that I had to write in a law study once!. If you are religious, suicide is indeed a sin, and I'll show how so with these excerpts!. In example 1, it explicitly states that your body is a temple of God, and to honor that temple, in the following it explains that God has the right to choose the length of your life, and knows the length of your life, and to go against that is a sin!.
(1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV)
[19] Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God!? You are not your own;
[20] you were bought at a price!. Therefore honor God with your body!.
(1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NIV)

I don't think it is a sin per se; however, you need to explore other options!.
Suicide is a permanent solution to temporary problems!.
Have you checked out your adrenals!?
How is your diet!?
Do you eat sugar!?
Do you ingest poisonous Splenda or Aspartame!?

Suicide is considered a sin!.!.!.!.it's the only unforgivable sin because you're not around to repent for it!.
Personaly I don't know if I beleive if it's a sin!.
I like to think that I lived a good life and one unforgiven sin wont condem me to Hell!.
But, then take into consideration that your body was a gift from God!. Your body and your life were given to you and refusing them is considered a sin!.

i don't believe in religion so to me it isn't a sin!.!. since i don't believe in sinning!. but i do think it is selfish if you have close friends and family still left in your life!. its wrong to leave them behind because you have problems!. but if you are all alone and no one is left and you just hate life and think it is the last option then - its not good but it is not as horrible as when you have friends!.
