What does oppositional defiant disorder look like?!

Question: What does oppositional defiant disorder look like!?
I have a 14 year old daughter who is often oppositional!. She acts angry and surly and puts people down!. She stirs up conflict without being evoked!. She seems to lack empathy for others and never admits that she is wrong!. She has also begun to skip school at least 1 time per week!. Her behavior has made it difficult for her to make or keep girlfriends!.

I wonder if I am observing normal teenage behavior or if something more serious is going on!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Something has definitely made her upset in her life!. She may need a counselor or someone understanding she can trust to talk to!. Also, it sounds like she needs to take an anger management course!. I am letting you know from experience, I was a troubled teen!. All I needed was someone to understand me and talk to me!. Anger management helped too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont know what oppositional defiant disorder looks like but i can tell you that at age 14 or 15, is when kids are starting to get out of control and doing some things without ever knowing the consequences because they are too young to know!. its also the harmones, teens have crazy harmones and they are growing up and going thru lots of stuff with people in school, skipping school is where it all begins, find who why she is skipping school and what is she doing during that time!. yes this is normal teenager behavior but somethign more serious can always happen so just be careful, dont lock her up or accuse her of anything!. remember they are just kids at 14, but this is when parents really comes into the play!. be friendly :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
