Answers:
Yes, they can effect your sex drive and libido!. Lithium is basically salt for the brain!. There are sodium channels in your brain and this type of medicine helps those channels!. Some of the side effects can include water retention and may in include tremors!. Sleeping pills can be habit forming!. Dr!. Prescribed sleeping pills such as Trazadone, Seraquil, and benzodiazapines can become addictive!. You can get off of them!. You need to talk to your doctor about the side effects you are experiencing on the drugs!. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 15 years ago and I have been on many medications!. I am also a profesional counselor with studies done in physiological psychology which deals with medications and the brain!. I am not a doctor but there are many medications out there now!. You have to work closely with you doctor to find the right "cocktail" that works for you!. Lithium is dated and there are newer drugs with less side effects that work better!. Effexor and Wellbutrin are good because they raise your seratonin level and your norepinephrine level and this gives you energy!.!.!.!.talk to your doctor and good luck:):):)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Something I am on affects my libido, but I don't know if it's my anti-depressant or anti-psychotic!. You're likely to have side effects with almost any medication, so it's best to decide how much you're willing to put up with in order to feel better!.

I haven't taken lithium, so I can't help you there!.

Certain sleeping pills can become addictive, but I don't think those are prescribed as often because of that!. Many of the newer sleeping pills claim they're not addictive, but I don't know from personal experience!. I tried Ambien, but it just made me horribly agitated instead of sleepy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

here are my answers to your questions and i hope this helps

1!. yes they did!. i wanted it when i wanted it and didn't want it when my partner did!. luckily he was understanding and reaped the benefits when i was "happy"!. it's perfectly normal so don't feel alone on the issue!. i was a bit of a rabbit before i was on them

2!. never taken it sorry!

3!. stillnox is highly addictive and can make people sleepwalk and people have died from taking them!. sleeping pills are designed to get you BACK into your "usual routine" and are not ment to be taken long term!. you do get withdrawls like any other medication if you stop suddenly taking them but if you and your doctor have a medication plan then this shouldn't be too much of a problem!. talking to a therapist also helps with sleeping problems as generally the reason people who can't sleep have too much going on in their brain and can't turn it off - like a dripping tap that no matter how much you turn, it wont stop dripping

anti-depressants do minimize your libido!. i found that when i started taking mine, i was never in the mood, but once i got used to the medication, that kind of went away!.

i have been on lithium and i do not recall getting the shakes!. if you are on it and are getting the shakes, i suggest talking to your doctor!. you should be getting your blood checked on a regular basis to make sure your sodium level isn't too high!.

sleeping pills can be addictive, however it is up to your doctor to know what is best for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
