Answers:
The correct name for this condition is ADHD (attention deficit hyoeractivity disorder)!. The term ADD (Attention Deficti Disorder) is actually the old name for the condition!. The name was changed from ADD to ADHD in 1987 by the ammerican psychiatric association!. Many people think that it is a term for a diffierent condition, but it is not!. It is just the old term for the same condition!. However many people still use the old term (ADD) to describe people with ADHD type A (Attention deficit hyperactivity Disorder predominantly innattentive type)!.

The symptoms of ADHD type A (predominatly innattenive type) include!.
Short attention span
getting bored and losing interest in things much more easily than average
concentration problems
easy distractibility
short term memory problems
poor organisational skills
difficulty listening and paying attention
Underachievement at school and/or work
Starting many projects and failing to complete them
procrastination

It is not enough to have these problems at school or work only, many people will not concentrate aswell in things they don't enjoy!. Those with true ADHD suffer these problems in all area's of their lives!. Concentration problems must also exsist when doing sports, socialising with friends, participating in leisure activityes, watching television, completing household tasks and so on!.

Also to be diagnosed with this condition the problems need to have exsisted from a very early age!. If signs of attention deficits were not present from at least the first year of school or earlier then they do not have the condition as it is an inborn condition!. It does not develop over the years!.

For those with ADHD type B (predominatly hyperactive/impulsive type) or ADHD type C (combined type) then other symptoms also exsist!. Including hyperactivity, lack of inhibitions and poor behaviour!.
