Stress Palpitations - very frustrating..?!

Question: Stress Palpitations - very frustrating!.!.!?
My mum died recently (25th July) and I have started to have what seem to be heart palpitations and dizziness!. Now, I know it is probably stress/anxiety rather than actual heart problems (I am only 38!) but does anyone know how I can get rid of them!.

I do have a lot of stress in my life at the moment but without suddenly winning the lottery, getting my mum back and finding a loving, caring husband then I need some way of keeping calm because it's kind of freaking me out!

I don't want to do the whole anti-depressants again (been there, done that) or any other kind of tablet/medicine resoluton!. Not sure what else there is actually but any advice would be useful!

ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Relaxation and meditation are good ideas, I agree!. But I believe you need to be more pro-active than just that!.
Stress, as you know, wears you out!. It kicks your adrenal glands into overdrive!. That is responsible for most of the physiological symptoms associated with stress!. Increased adrenaline production depletes your body rapidly of many critical nutrients both by using them up and causing the body to excrete many of them!. Specific to the heart palpitations is a loss of your magnesium stores, along with other minerals!.
Sooo!.!.!.
You want to be sure you are eating well!. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, good grains and protein from healthy sources!. In addition to a healthy diet, you want to beef up on the nutrients your body is most likely deplete in!. Get a good multivitamin/multimineral supplement and take it daily!. Get extra antioxidants to deal with the excess free radical load stress causes!.!.!.you can find many good formulae that has vitamins A,C,E and selenium in a single supplement!. If you find one with zinc as well, get it!. Otherwise, buy some zinc separately, and take maximum dose indicated, at least for several months to get your depleted stores back up!. A good B complex is critical!. Get a B100 or a B150!. Make sure it is a timed release formula!. Take one twice a day for a month, then cut back to once a day!. Last but not least, a calcium/magnesium supplement!. I like the liquid formulaes available, they assimilate quickly for more noticeable rapid results!. Should help immensely with the palpitations!.
If you feel you need something more for depression, try l-tryptophan!. It is the amino acid your brain needs to produce three critical neurotransmitters!.!.!.serotonin (for wakefulness and stable mood), melatonin (helps you fall asleep and stay asleep, also involved in detoxifying the brain), as well as dopamine!. It's important to take l-tryptophan separate from any protein source!. One a day should be sufficient!.
And breathe! Deep, slow breaths that calm your nervous system!. A quick easy method is to put your hands above your head!.!.!.whether sitting or laying down!. This opens your ribcage, makes it easier to breathe deep into the diapham!. Breathe slowly through your nose to a slow count of eight (a very slow count that helps to pace your breath)!. Hold for a slow count of four!. Then exhale slowly and evenly to a slow count of twelve!. If you have difficulty with the timing, don't stress over it!. Breathe in as slowly and as deeply as you can, hold, and exhale as slowly as you can!. It will get easier to get the timing right as you make it a habit to breathe this way!.
Good luck and take care!.
