Question: Is this 'normal' in a friendship!?
My best friend was over at my place last night!. Both of us are athletes and we have an athletic build!. He took off his shirt then asked me to do the same, because he wanted to 'compare the build of our bodies'!. All he did was compare the build of our torsos and arms, then changed the subject!.
I'm puzzled to his request!. Did he just made a simple body-build comparison between he and his best friend, or is there some deeper meaning to it (like maybe he's gay or bi)!? We are pretty competitive in sports, school, and just life in general!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, if he would have touched you in an intimate place on your body or said "Take off your pants", I would say the gayness factor would be pretty high, without a doubt!. But he only made the physical comparison and then went on to something else, thankfully!. Guys like to make lots of physical and academic comparisons, so that's normal!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
If he's your best friend he is probably very comfortable around you!. That does not sound like he is gay at all, unless he has been doing other things that have also made you think that!.

I don't see why that wouldn't be normal in a friendship!. Its basically the same as flexing arm muscles and comparing them!. Unless you did get a gay vibe from it!.!.!. then he could be!. But if not then there's no reason to think hes gay or bi!. I wasn't there so I couldn't tell you, but by reading what you just typed it seems as though he really just wanted to compare body size!. I am not going to say its normal, but I doubt it has anything to do with being gay!. I think your friend may just be insecure about his own body and wanted to compare with someone else to see where he stands!. I had a friend who would do this with her weight, breast size, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
