My husband has many mental illnesses, bless his sweet heart!. He has attempted suicide 4 times, and is amazingly still alive!. He has been to a local mental asylum three times!. The mix of therapy and medication has helped him recover!.

There have been many stressful things going on in his life right now!. I know he has started hurting himself lately!. If he is confronted about this, he just hurts himself even more!. We had a baby recently, and my husband is worried our baby will end up like him!.

How do I help my husband and keep him safe from himself!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's great that you love your husband so much, but I can't believe you had a baby with such an ill man!. Not saying you did it deliberately, but did it not occur to you that babies bring a LOT of stress along with the joy!?

You cannot care for the baby and the mentally ill husband together!. He will have to go back into the hospital!. I think you need professional counselling too, as carers are under enormous stress themselves!. Get as much support around you as you can from family, friends, and local government!. You would benefit from setting up a daily and weekly schedule with blocks of organised respite time for yourself!.

Also I strongly advise taking particular care of your nutrition, daily exercise, sleep, and recreation so you don't only give all the time - you will inevitably burn out otherwise!.

Good luck, and I hope your husband recovers soon!.

(And enjoy your baby!)

EDIT: I think you're in denial!. Your husband is such a "great parent" that he's self-harming!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well you do not exactly mention what his illness is
but read about it on curezone!.com, read their success stories
their are natural treatments
also read about the finegold diet, you can help him with it and it is not so hard to do
eliminate artificial dyes, colors, flavors, etc!. and replace them with other foods for example eat miss vickys chips they are healthier, or sweets with less sugar
since there is proof that what we eat or drink can trigger certain behaviors

Insist that he see a counselor, so he can find alternate means of dealing with stress besides hurting himself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
