Can panic attacks really get THIS bad?!

Question: Can panic attacks really get THIS bad!?
I've had a few panic attacks in my life, and I've just had a very strange experience!.

I was waiting for the bus to come, and I smoked a cigarette!. All of a sudden I tasted something strange and it occured to me that this is a common report from people who've had smoke laced with PCP!. This isn't entirely unreasonable, as I found the pack on the ground, with one missing!.

But the reason I lit it in the first place is because I felt myself getting anxious!. I started to really freak out and it felt like I was on a heavy drug!. I couldn't think, and everything was just hollow and scary!. The bus was like an animal, and the lights and people and streets were all out of proportion and scary and lurching!.

This is unlike anything I've ever experienced!. For an hour straight I had the strangest associations, feelings, and thoughts I've ever remembered having!. I simply could never, ever function if I felt like this all the time!.

It's been two hours since I started feeling like this!. I still feel like I could never keep up an appearance of life!. I've never really felt so scattered in my life, it's scary!.

Last night I smoked weed, which I always know is a terrible idea because of how it makes me feel!. I get super depressed for sometimes up to 10 days after I smoke just once!. But I woke up this morning feeling great, with an almost zen like understanding of my world!. I don't remember having a better day any time recently!.

But that all crumbled tonight!. I feel like I'm literally in hell!.

Do panic attacks do this!? Do I need to worry that I finally screwed myself up for good!?

I know the typing is legible and understandable but honestly I don't know how it's happening!. I just have a gut feeling like something is majorly wrong!.

All right, no one really gave any useful information here!.!.!. I've had a personal experience with very anxious feelings the day AFTER smoking pot!. Despite what people tell me, I swear the lingering effects of THC are the worst, and are very present!. If you felt a huge surge of unreality and fear, I can relate!. I felt this impending doom, like I was going to die soon, and I could barely read/concentrate- I was off kilter!. People have also had recurring feelings like these after an intense panic attack!.

People go years of doing drugs and don't have problems!. It's the anxiety + drugs that causes issues!.!.please don't be worried though, it's temporary! I thought I'd be like that forever, but wasn't!. Here I am now back to normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is because you are addicted to the drugs!.!.!.!.!. It is the drugs that are making you act this way!. I have these attacks and it is nothing like you've described!. Seek medical help immediatly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please don't ever pick up cigarette's you found from the ground and smoke them! Who knows it could have been laced or you could have been just so panicked you convinced yourself you were high!. Don't smoke weed if you get panic attacks, it is a very bad idea! You have gotten yourself in a fear cycle and you are scared of the next time you will feel bad!. It sounds like you need to be more responsible and realize you have this problem and that you can't do certain things!. Some of the feelings you describe almost sound bipolar like!. I would get your life in order and see a doctor, hospitals work on sliding scales!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

But there are natural ways to do it without medication!. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac!. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings!. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac!. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc!.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced!.!.!. you have that "learned behavior" in your mind!. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this!. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction!.!.!. There are several other techniques to help cope them!
