ITs easy to say don't listen to your thoughts, but it is almost impossible to actually do!. Depression is a thinking problem, and you cant think your way out of it!. What you can do is take certain actions to improve your position!.
First off, what is causing this state!? If it is a situation, you need to take action to either change or accept the situation in question!. If it just randomly cam on, it may be a chemically based depression that needs medication!. If it is due to certain behaviors of yours that you are unhappy with, alter your behavior!.
Next you need to counter act the physical nature of the depression!. Depression causes you to be lethargic and and become introverted and isolate!. One of the best cures for depression is to engage in active things!. Get your body moving, even though you don't feel like it!. The brain releases chemicals in response to exercise that counteract the effects of depression!. Be social, force yourself to be around positive people, you'll feel better and the positivity will change your thoughts, which you cannot do by yourself!.
Third, seek counseling!. I don't necessarily mean professional counseling, this can come from anyone that you trust completely!. Someone that you feel you can be 100% honest with, and know that they won't judge you or offer advice, but will just listen!. The reason for doing this is that if you don't talk about what is going on in your head, even if it is embarrassing, then it stays in your head!. Talking about it gets it out there and lets you look at it more clearly!. Often when you start saying the things you are thinking out loud, you realize how irrational it is and you eel better!. You may also find a solution that would not have come just by staying in your head!.
I hope this helps, the key is taking action!. Remeber, if nothing changes, nothing changes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

All those negative thoughts come with depression and yes, they only bring you down!. But that's part of being depressed!. Your mind is filled with negative thoughts about everything!. Even if it doesn't make any sense!. You might see a doctor and tell him what's going on!. Maybe you might need to start depression meds or counseling!. It's hard to say whether that kind of action is the beginning of depression or not!. There are a lot of people that are just dreamy and inattentive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't listen to the thought's!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to listen to your thoughts because they will help you or someone else understand what is going on!. Even though they are negative, they are a direct insite into what is going on with your feelings, emotions, etc!. -- revealing these thoughts to a neutral third party like a counselor, psychiatrist or trusted person may help you find some clarity!. Most of the time when we're in a depression, we're not thinking rationally!. We tend to be in a haze, just like when people are in love!.!.!. it's just the opposite, lol!.
However, this could be a medical condition in which you have no choice in whether or not you are depressed!. I would definitely try talking to neutral, trusted people in your life first, occupy yourself in other activities so you're not always thinking about your negative thoughts (just makes things worse!), find something to do that you enjoy or something that can help you express what you're feeling (like listening to music and write what you feel down as you're listening to it, or painting, etc!.)!.
If this keeps going on for more than a few months without psychiatric help, I would meet up with your doctor!.
Cleansing the body by eating non-processed, sugar-free foods (in other words, eating fruits, vegetables, wheats, and drinking water just the way humans were made to eat) helps you physically which helps your mental state!. Exercising is HUGE in this aspect -- yoga is good because it forces a mind and body connection and also involves cardio which releases endorphines that lift the mood!. Exercise also is just plain healthy and normal!.
As for if this is how depression starts, I'm not sure!. I'm not a doctor -- ask if you go if you need to!.
I sure hope this helps!.
