Question: Ok i used to cut myself did or do i have a problem!?
ok i used to cut myself i only did it twice,both times on like the same day,i do regret purely cause it looks bad on my arm!. i honestly dont regret actually doing it i know i shoudl but i dont!. anyway i think about doing it again which is weird because i dont have anything much to be depressed about,but i really feel like doing it again,but i hear its really addictive so im trying not to do it!.only one of my friends knows about it,i dont want to tell the others,not because i dont trust them or im afraid to tell them, i just choose not too tell them!.but im dont think i had a problem ,and im not sure if i have a problem now!. please dont say anything about it being selfish or stupid!. when your depressed your not in the right state of mind,so i would do things i normally wouldnt do at all!. so im wondering do or did i have a problem!.also what things will help me so i dont want to do it ever again and what ways can i cover the scars up with or make them go anway very fastWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have to say that cutting twice in one day does not make you a "cutter"!. Many people, young/old male/female educated/uneducated, try cutting at some point!. It can be looked at the same as trying alcohol!. Most everyone have tried it at least once!. It doesn't mean that they are addicted to it, they tried it plain and simple!.

If you keep thinking about cutting yourself, sit down, do some soul searching, figure out what is going on that is making you think of it!. Is it because you like the feeling it gave you!? Is it because you are sad about something!? Are you grieving something, a move, change in school, change in friends, change in teachers, some one or thing that you lost!? Are you wanting to feel something!? Are you wanting to cover up a feeling you are having!? Are you feeling hurt by something that happened!?

Cutting doesn't happen just because someone is depressed!. There are many other reasons that people do it!. Be aware of this!. Depression is just one of the reasons that people cut!.

After you figure out why you are wanting to cut, if you feel that you need help, ask!. If you can't figure out why you want to cut, ask for help from someone you trust!. They can help you look at your life to see what is happening in it!.

As for somethings to do to not cut, do something you like, cook, bake, get a massage, take a hot/cold shower or bath, journal, jog, watch birds, play music, drink a cup of hot chocolate, vacuum, pet a dog, watch some fish, clean, give yourself a pedicure, get a rose to put where you will see it, read a good book, take a drive, rub a stone, meditate, talk to a friend, watch a movie, listen to music, rub lotion on your hands, look through pictures, play a game, do something nice for yourself!. I'm not a fan of using a rubber band on the wrist and snapping it, essentually you are replacing one hurtful thing with another when you do that!. The same for smoking, drinking, exercising too much, endulging in food, or the many other things that can be done that can be harmful!. The point is to do something nice for yourself so that you will start to associate cutting thoughts with thoughts of something positive!.

You question about how to cover you scar, it will take time for it to fade!. Opening up a vitamin E capsule and rubbing the oil on it helps alot!. Make sure that it is protected from the sun, this will make it worse!. Cocoa butter lotion also helps!. Polysporin helps as well (this is similar to Neosporin but only double antibiotic where Neo is triple antibiotic!. Skin starts to become immune to triple and will start to cause damage if used long term!.) When you go out now and want it covered, try some foundation that matches your arm color!. This will probably be different than you face color!.

unfortunately, teen cutting is getting more popular!. it's not healthy, and it's not a good way to express your emotions!. you might be an addict, or you might just be bored!. find something better to do with your time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It can be addictive and it is definitely indicative of a problem!. You might not realize it, but usually people don't just decide to cut themselves for no reason!. Talk to someone you trust, family, a therapist, a friend, whatever!.
You say in the beginning you have nothing to be depressed about, and at the end you say that you are depressed!. I'm not sure which is true, but look into therapy!. You can get it free at your school from a social worker!.

You need to decide for yourself whether its a problem or not!. Do you think it is!? I used to cut myself almost every day and it got very bad for me, so I finally admitted that I had a problem!. My depression was a problem, and the cutting was how I dealt with the pain!. But cutting doesnt really help anything!. My first time was actually kind of nice, it didnt hurt, but it didnt make my problems go away either!. Its good that your trying to stop because it is very addictive, as you should already know!. The fact that you want to cut again, shows that!. In the end, I needed counseling, and now I know I will never cut again!. I only relapsed one time, and it ended the same night it started!. Stopping really shows strength, so good for you for trying!. And please try talking to someone like a counselor because they help soo much and they understand more than you think!.
