There's something listed on Wikipedia saying that it was considered a felony, but no states enforced it!. There''s no citation listed, so I don't know about it's validity!.
Today though, suicide or attempted suicide is not punishable by law!. There are certain statutes that protect you if you feel like hurting yourself, but you can't be thrown in jail for trying to kill yourself!. It is a crime both legally and from a religious standpoint!. But that makes no sense!. It is your life and you should be able to do what you want with it as long as you are in a position where your death would not hurt other people;Www@Answer-Health@Com
